This is the same case with everything else. You are going to have fans of anything you enjoy that you just can't stand to be around or talk to. Take it from someone who has enjoyed competitive Pokemon for the last 3 years. This fanbase has it ALL. You have kids, teens, adults, know it alls, toxic spewers... It is a mixed bag.

Well they did have cameras back then but I am not sure how portable they were. This one is from 1892:

I mean this could be something attached to your horse and used to take pictures. What would be cool is to take it a step further and have the pictures show like pictures back then. They can have it go through a filter by default and the pictures will look like this:

But you will also have the option to have them look how you see them. Just a thought.

The fact that they did send out the merch in 2016 tells me something went wrong and it had to be pushed back, nothing to do with marketing because that was a waste of money when you think about it.

Nothing here but we aren't in the snow belt, as they call it. I don't pay much attention to the weather in terms of "news" because they have trouble predicting anything right anymore.

I voted June simply because of the mistake that was made. I am going to assume it was a mistake but still, I was thinking June anyways.
-
It could have been a mistake. I doubt they know the exact release date this early. They likely get emailed the week of when they are ready to set the date. June is believable. I was thinking May or June anyways. I guess if it does end up being June 8th then this was a good catch.

So like if I am in the middle of playing and a friend requests to join, they can at any time but if they leave in the middle of the mission, the AI takes back control over the character and just continues?
That is what my understanding is. I can't see them doing it but I can see it working. It just isn't something that appeals to me nor does it fit Rockstar's game format.

I actually don't know. Should be soon I would think. Did you see there is talks about them going fully digital in the near future?

That is it unless they plan on changing it.

What would you like to see in terms of online trophies and achievements? I know some people don't care about them much at all anymore but I like to try and get them. This way the game is 100% done for me. Always gives me something to aim for as well.

I wouldn't say it is not worth talking about entirely. I mean some of these connections would make sense ONLY if they were part of the next game. That being said, it doesn't mean anything right now but it could in the near future. If something comes of it, I will be back in this thread but for now it is just speculation.

I have the opportunity to play the game. A cousin of mine brought his Switch up with him when he came in town for the holidays. He said I can borrow it if I want and play but he only has the one game. I have not played a Mario game in quite some years. Is this one any good?
As a long time Mario fan, I can say it is an enjoyable game that features Mario but not a Mario game. If you get what I mean by that then you will go in knowing what to expect.

Agreed on moving to a purely digital marketplace would make buying console games a bit more difficult. At least now we can buy a game and then re-sell it if we don't want to keep it but with a digital only copy they'd have to make them cheaper for me personally.
If they work a system into action where digital licenses can be moved around, fine. Like if I want to "lend" a game to a friend I can do that. Or if I want to sell the digital rights to a game I bought, I can do that too. Other wise this wouldn't be good for anyone.

Why? Cars are not needed. Sure, they were invented and brought to life so to speak in the 1880's but that don't mean some run of the mill cowboys would have access to them.

I wouldn't mind them doing it again but I would rather they do something else. Maybe instead of zombies they dabble in some like old indian tales or something. I don't mind the zombie thing now and then but it has been overkill since they released RDR with other games.
I am not sure what else they could do. I think they ran through a lot of things in the last one. They could always do aliens I guess. Not sure how that would go over.

I am a fan of all dragons. Grew up on Spyro. Loved that game. I am sure they will make another in the future. Welcome to the forum!

Yes, I do. I am not sure what is in it but I have 7% of ever direct deposit from work going into my savings. I have not checked it in over a year. I actually tend to forget about it. I think the last time I did check it was at $800 something.

Knowing the story line will get more focus than GTA V's did, do you think this will change anything for the online end of the game? Like will we see less?
I think that when we do see DLC, it will be more at once, less frequently.
-
Good video. Actually forgot how good these side missions were to play.
So as par the question, what are some side missions you think RDR2 needs to top?
For me, I like the emotional missions that involved substance beyond my own understanding. For that, I would like to see RDR2 top Flowers for a Lady. While I get the impression from the latest trailer that we may not see anything like this, I have hopes for something similar.
-
This is a big relief for me. The reason GTA V bugged me as much as it did was because they focused almost solely on the online end.

I feel the same in terms of Arthur's looks being slightly odd. I wouldn't say it is bad that he is older because to be Dutch's go-to guy (which appears to be the case) he would need to be more experienced. Maybe there will be a transition into him looking more rugged, growing a bears, ect as the story progresses but in general, it really isn't too important.
-
I am not sure they would do this as this would be more of a survival aspect to the game. I think things like this were mentioned before. Like if you were forced to dress warmer in snowy areas, then you would be forced into taking damage if you had the wrong gear. I don't think this is something Rockstar would ever add into one of their games.

There's also a grizzly bear in that scene, and grizzlies, during that time, only lived as far west as Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. So I think we're going to get another fictional map that is comprised of these different environments that include a southern Louisiana/Alabama swamp area, sort of how GTA V's map has its own separated urban and rural environments.

I was going to mention the bears as well. Unless we do have more than one map, and it spans West to East across southern Texas, this will likely be the case.

That is a very plain launcher. I use Nova myself. It is the only one I am comfortable with these days on Android phones. I'm still on the s6 as well.
