Physical copy of Special and Ultimate editions of RDR2?

I want to get either the special or ultimate edition of RDR2 but I will only do so with a physical copy. I like to buy games the old-fashioned way by having a physical disc in my possession. I know these two editions are available for digital purchase but are there also physical copies of these editions?

Only Special edition last time i checked. Amazon.

What are the differences between the two? I pre-ordered a digital copy just so I have it right at midnight but I intend on getting a special edition for the extras.

Everything that is on the top or the exclusive story mode content; is what comes with the special edition. And for the ultimate edition, you get everything seen in that picture. Also If you get a physical copy, you get a physical version of the map seen in the game.

I called my local GameStop this afternoon, and they told me that all three editions are available on hard copy. Oddly enough I was surprised to hear her say that there would be no reopening at midnight to get the game... She said from 8:45 to 9 p.m. when they close on Thursday the 25th, I can pick up my pre-ordered copy.

Add to that the fact it will take 11 hours to install the 105gb plus d/l and install the inevitable updates and we're looking at a november first play.

Did they do this at every Gamestop or just select ones? I might have to call the few in my area and see what is up with this. I never heard of them doing such a thing.

I am not actually sure to be honest.  This is the first time I have pre-ordered a game so it's new to me.  I would suggest calling your local Gamestop like you said.  As far as them releasing the game before midnight, I asked her that and she said by the time it's downloaded and ready to play it will be after midnight anyways.  I only had to put a minimum of $5 down to reserve my copy and will just pay the remainder at the time of pickup.  I'm pretty sure that is the same for all Gamestops.
