smoothrivers
Just started the game today on Xbox but am having trouble getting thru the beginning, I got my shotgun off my horse, but pulling trigger to shoot the wolves doesn't work. Is there a button I need to push to load the idiot thing? Edited November 3, 2018 by smoothrivers

Benjo
And you're aiming with LT and trying to fore with RT? To answer your question, no, you don't need to load it first. You do need to reload of course but there should be rounds in there from the start. If you are firing as per above then I just can't explain why you wouldn't be able to shoot. Have you managed to shoot other weapons?

Well both. You have an ammo count and a gun load count. Once your gun is empty you have to tap B to reload, then once your ammo reaches zero you have to find more. It sounds like you have ammo though, should say top right of the screen when you have your gun out, like 5/60 or something. Shooting mechanics are pretty much identical to BF1, including ammo and LT to ADS and RT to fire. Not sure what's happening for you. Maybe do a vid on your phone or at least a few photos or something if you are still having problems.

I'm rank 150 in Battlefield 1, so it's actually possible I've been reloading without even thinking about it LOL, it's muscle memory for me. I'm going to go and check ... that would be hysterical if I've actually been reloading this entire time without even realizing I was doing it ... No, it's not true ... in RDR2 on PS4, pressing the square button does NOT reload. There is a counter saying how many rounds you have, but the reload is automatic once you hit zero, the control is not the same as in Battlefield 1. I have the same especially when using the M1918 Automatico. The magazine size was only 25 and it spat them out in about 2 seconds so reloading was constant. Got to the point where I didn't even realise I was doing it, then when I switched to support I'd accidentally reload a LMG and have to wait 20 seconds for it to finish.

You can reload any time - it's circle on PS4, B on XBox.

Btw, the reload button PS4 in RDR2 is "O", it's square in BF1, so it's there but it's a different button. I learned something, I didn't even know it was there. Yes I had that same problem in BF1 because I play medic so much and I'm accustomed to only having a few shots in my rifle, and it takes me consciously making myself stop reloading when I have a gun with more ammo. Or, rather, I just reload more than I need to, it's like having all the disadvantages of my medic rifle with all the disadvantages of the new weapon lol. Melting Snowflakes
I'm going to intentionally pretend you didn't teach me that RDR2 has a reload .... RDR2 is fun and all, but I don't want to mess up the muscle memory I have in Battlefield as that is my main game and Battlefield V is just around the corner.
