Wishes for the RDO (Full Release) ?

So, as a huge fan of the Single player, there is a couple of things i WISH, and hope they will include in the final RDO.

These are just... A couple of realism inputs, and when the beta is over, and they fix all the glitches, lags, connection issues.

What do you guys think? (I already made a feedback wish to Rockstar)

- More life in the world (Like we saw in singleplayer)

- More life in the cities (In small towns = Gun standoffs, and in the BIG cities common bar fight, and invite to a fight (The one in Saint denis with charles, etc)

- Bring back the Single player stranger popups on the map, like the "Snake Suck Bite - Bear Trap - Woman Kidnapping) So on.

- Bring in the minigames (Often placed in citys) , Like blackjack, poker, finger fillet, domino. etc. (I know the real life gambling issue, but that could be fixed by using ingame dollars)

- House Building (i know it aint the sims, but somehow like the Epilogue with John) , and ofcourse to own propety and collect dollars.

- Be able to ROB the stores, Houses and etc. Right now almost every house i entered, is empty.

- Bring back real life beard & Hair Growth. - Lets be honest, that feature was awesome!! - And also do trimming in camp! Including shave!

- Bring in a FEW voice spoken dialogs for your character.  When you meet other players in the free roam, would be cool with a "Hey Mister, Hey Partner" or something!!?

- More Gun twirling animations! - The one thats already there, is totaly awesome!

- Able to bath, and maybe include a brothel! (In GTA there was prostitues, why not in RDO? - Afterall.. back then, that was a thing!)

These where the things i just had in mind while playing the beta so far, having in mind its a beta ofcourse, i just hope they still go with the realism part.

Am i way of hand here? 😂

Ability to own dogs and use them to flush out animals for hunting would be great.

The blips do need to be changed, maybe using a spotting system. They are only on the map if you have LoS or they're shooting, and then, only for a little bit if you lose LoS.

It seems like I see other players horses just standing around more than I see NPCs, it does feel a bit empty, compared to single player especially.

Tattoos would be nice, I know they had them back then, so why not. Just nothing unusual... animals, names, patterns, mythological creatures could be ok

@McLawDiz great points, I agree 100%. Everyone who responded had good points actually.

Just to put in my two cents in addition to everyone else's suggestions ....

(although some may have already been mentioned in this thread), my main concerns are...

- Definitely get rid of the pink dots, maybe have an option to only see pink blips If those people are in your Posse or something.

- Take  the gamer ID logo hovering above my head. Again, maybe make it optional for those who want it, but I personally don't want to hide behind a rock when someone is chasing me down, and they know where I am because it says my username above my head. It's stupid get rid of it. Wouldn't it be nice to ride by someone, and not know if they were an NPC or not?

- Stop moving my damn camp. I logged on yesterday, a million miles from my camp. It took me 20 minutes to get there, because I had to work my way around all those groups of three or four people who were evidently  going to ambush me as the waypoint went right by them. As a result, I got literally 10 seconds away from arriving, and Cripps moved my Camp from Blackwater somewhere near the swamps. I don't need a babysitter. Let me move my camp where I want and when I want.

- Bring in a better bounty system. If someone shoots you, put a hefty bounty on them, and make it available for other players to collect the bounty if they can get there before the law does. And if they don't have the money to pay it, implement a system where they have to spend a certain amount of time in jail or something . And maybe make it impossible for them to see you after you respawn for five minutes or something, so they can't just keep shooting you as soon as you respawn.

- As several people mentioned in other posts as well, don't charge $1.50 for a can of beans and only give $1.00 or something for a gold wedding band. It doesn't make sense. Keep the same economy/prices as single player for buying and selling, I think that would be a big Improvement.

- Have some missions that are available to do solo... I miss the original RDR where you could choose from a dozen or so gang hideouts and just go do them by yourself. Why are all the missions 2 to 4 players?

Again, this is probably just a repeat of several other people's complaints. I have only put about 7 hours into online play, and I have not been shot yet... But I know it's coming. I've just been playing very conservatively, and sticking close to my camp and just doing some hunting and stuff nearby . I mean, what fun is that? Having to stay within 100 yards of your camp because of griefers? I have ridden by several players and just got very very lucky not being shot yet. I literally have not really had very much fun with this, because I'm just worried about getting ambushed. I've done two or three missions and got paid what I consider to be chump change. Not even worth the ammo I used. I know for a fact I have to join a posse which I'm looking for right now. These are just my main concerns... I have a ton of other ones that I won't list, just basic ones as already mentioned, like changing appearances and side missions and stuff would be a lot of fun. Hopefully Rockstar listen to the players opinions and take it into account. Until I find a posse, I don't know that I will be spending much time with the online. I have a feeling everything will be reset when beta is over and the full launch starts. Who knows? LOL

Quality thread, and quality replies. I hope you guys are using Rockstar's feedback forms:

https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback

Don't forget you can tailor the form to fit your suggestions, and you can submit as many as you like. This is the best way to have Rockstar consider these awesome ideas

Please continue to discuss and formulate your ideas here too though!

An idea I submitted that hasn't been mentioned in this thread here yet:

- Hotels: Renting a room should be available in major towns/cities. This gives the player the ability to "rest" in a nice bed for a few seconds (60 tops) to fully restore AND fortify all (gold) cores for a day. You then can change clothes as well.

Seasonal events - Mardi Gras in St Denis, Halloween (zombies and werewolves) in the Bayou, Christmas in Mt Shan etc

Bring back the night folk :)

Sites of interest (with journal entries?)

Mexico, Cuba, Sisika Penitentiary!

Ponchos, Crossed Bandoliers, satchels

A voice for our character!

More background music with actual songs/voices - even if just campfire songs

More weather effects - shooting stars, twisters, earthquakes(?!)

Bar fights where no one starts shooting, breakable table/chairs and bottles, and people getting thrown through windows!

What is a Western without a bar fight and someone getting thrown through a window?

I don't like that when I go get drunk in a saloon then start a brawl it's only a short moment before some NPC starts shooting and the whole thing becomes a blood bath!

I want it more classic cinematic Western rather than GTO with cowboy hats.

You know that there is an option for it already? Go to Options -> Settings -> Display -> Online Overhead

You will have 3 options there.

Wow... I did not know that! One of my biggest pet peeves from the first game. Thanks for this information. If the pink dots would disappear on the radar, then this would actually be helpful. With the gamer ID not hovering above my head, but the pink dots still there, they would still know where I am. Remove the dots and my gamertag and I would be good, I'm thrilled to learn this, once the pink dots go away I might have a chance LOL will definitely get back online tomorrow and try this!

And what about the Trapper?? Sure selling pelts to the butcher is a good way to make some quick cash, but I want to be able to make some dope clothing and equipment like in story mode. And maybe they could even add the legendary animals as it’s own mission you can play alone or with friends, hunting down a legendary animal with your buddy’s would be pretty cool!

The lack of the trapper and legendary animals really does bother me. My initial thought, before I saw the character generator and played RDO, was to make a Native American character who would primarily live in the wilderness, trading pelts and carcasses with the trapper in order to survive.

From what Rockstar have said, it SEEMS to be the kind of idea they would encourage. "We want all the actions the player does to make sense", they want us to live in this world but this world feels so very less evolved than the single player world. Would adding some things to multiplayer mean looking at changes to make them fit? Sure. Otherwise you'd have people just camp the robbable homesteads, continually jumping the train, farming legendary animals et al, but even I in my completely non game related profession can think of ways to make those work in this regard.

I want to live in this world, but I need the world to be livable. RDR2 I could and did play for weeks, ignoring the main storyline, just existing. Living. Providing. Let me do that with other people. Form relationships, rivalries, friendships. The promise is there, it is just how they deliver upon it.

Me too. I really enjoyed the Ghost Bison outfit, and that's something I would really like in Red Dead Online. Maybe they can add even more outfits if they eventually do add the trapper to RDO.

I was hoping the outfits we made in single player would be available in online if we had made them ourselves in the story, just maybe a small in-game cash fee as a sort of shipping cost. Then make entirely different sets of craftable gear for online. Just a small way to show off our single player exploits online. Lots of games give something online for people that have completed the story, usually cosmetic, so why not

I can practically guarantee this will be implemented... for a small fee, of course!

Apart from changes to the map blips/radar, I want this feature the most.

I can see this, and eventually purchasing buildings in town with illicit businesses at some point.

Because then nobody will buy gold to support microtransactions.  When logic fails, follow the money!

In all seriousness, though, this thread is great.  Keep the suggestions coming, everyone!

They could have the outfits available for a fee in gold too. Takes a long time to earn it, so some people would definitely buy gold to get the single player outfits online. Probably wont happen tho, just wishful thinking

I and many people will never spend money for gold. Can grind and get it. Plus already paid 80 for the game. They've got my money, and not a penny more. All of the suggestions have been great, my only concern is about no gamertag on top of no blip. I just see that as something that would backfire and give the griefers a little more leverage. Could do with less of that personally. Because as it stands, the past two weeks have been horrendous when it comes to these assholes for no reason. You get revenge then they run or want to parley. In your own great words, "candy asses".

* The things you can buy with gold, let it buy with dollars to. (like the black arabian)

*Make freeroam so that you only can shoot somebody iff they doing the side missions. (stranger missions) Thats the easy fix for grievers and trolls.

*Put back the trapper so hunting gives you bigger rewards at clodings ,bags, holsters etc etc.

*Let there be mutch more missions for pve players.

*Put in houses ore ranges to buy (with dollars offcourse)

*Let there be shops, bars ore illegal moonshine making to buy for more things to do and making extra money.

*Fix the horse catching so you can sell them ore put them in your stables.

*But overall fix the complete game with lesser folds in it, still there is connection fallures, horse bonding lvl ,Frp is really bad, missing revolver and holster, missing the stir-up tunning, etc etc ….

*Take care off the glitchers ,godmode, cheaters, online bots,Account sharings etc etc..

*I don't care iff someone can buy stuff with goldbars but let there be a dollars option to,some ppl have not the time to play allot so they can buy it with goldbars iff they whant but ppl thate have time to play allot and don't whane buy goldbars give them the option to buy it with dollars to. Thats more fair in my opinion.

Iff there is anyone playing on the Xbox one at EU time ,maybe check out our RDR2 Online Posse Club. Where playing every evening with a Posse and helping lower ranks with hunting and xp so they have a good start to hunt on there own. We are talking Englisch and Dutch, iff you whane join use just send a frends invite to gamertag johnnydope.  Have a good Newyear folks.

That's an interesting idea.  You'd also have to prevent other ways of griefing, like horse killing, stealing, pelt thievery etc.
