[email protected]
Spoiler So I think I went too far with all the quests and I still want to just go hunting and get all the stuff I missed. things ramp up really quickly heading towards ch.6 I was just diagnosed but would Arthur just be sick until he decides to complete the stories? everyone tells him he looks like crap and he can't eat too much. Anyone know?
Truth
@[email protected] Spoiler You can hold off on missions and do whatever you want. He will remain sick and you'll keep hearing how horrible he looks, but you can keep hunting and everything just fine. I will say this: Don't bother stocking up on stuff, most of it will be lost at some point. Same with money, spend it all!
jihiro
Spoiler I feel a little unclear about what you're asking, but yes, Arthur will be remain sick until you finish the main story. You'll still get to play afterwards, there's a 2 part epilogue and then basically 'free roam' after that. You'll lose access to some certain stuff, like the camp will no longer exist. I can't really think what else you might miss tho =S
jihiro
Spoiler Going off what @Truth said above, you'll lose all your money (but you'll eventually get around $20k after the epilogue), your horses, and most of your items. You'll keep all the important stuff tho, like orchids and most other valuables. But you CAN make use of your money you have now by buying/upgrading all the guns, upgrading your saddle, any upgraded gear and trinkets you may still need, and clothing. You'll keep all those things. Madrigalian
On losing your cash ... I have not tried this yet myself as I am still in Chapter 5. (I made it halfway through chapter six and reverted back to a previous save point to redo some things I wanted to complete as Arthur first) So, if there is anyone who can confirm this, please let us know. Spoiler But rumor has it that if you go as Arthur to visit the incest twins just before the end of Arthur's story and let them rob you, you can then go back to them later as John and steal back all of the money they previously stole from you as Arthur. It is supposedly still there behind the painting. Allowing you to get back most or all of the cash you would have lost if it had still been on Arthur when he dies. Since you lose it anyway, it seems like it might be worth a shot to see if it works. My thoughts anyway.

I loved that mission, so I'd be more than happy to try this out for you. Can you post a screenshot of the location? If not, I'll just look it up later. I believe it is a pig farm just North and slightly west of the Blue Water Marsh. South of the train tracks but not by much. And thanks!

I went back to the pig farm as soon as I was able (just after the epilogue begins) and the place is long abandoned... Searched the whole house and all I could find was an opened snake oil and some cocaine gum.
