Hello everyone I just wanted to pass along a little tip for all the cigarette cards!

There are a total of 144 cards and all of them can be found by buying the premium cigarette packs! They are $5 a pack but this saves a ton of time!

Here is what I did maxed out sachet you can carry 99 cigarettes. Buy at store close book, open satchel and discard all and rinse and repeat!

Super easy way to get the cards you need.

Thanks for reading and I hope it helps.

Really? I wish I had known about this sooner it would have saved me a lot of time. LOL! I was thinking that you had to get every single one by itself.

Ya I noticed the card pop up when I bought a pack so I tried it and sure enough it works for every set even authors and poets, which I just found out! Lol

Thanks for the reply and Hopefully this helps some people!

Hello guys and girls!

I did a video detailing how to get all 144 cigarette cards fast and free (without buying them in a shop)!
The idea is to reproduce a glitch that makes cigarette packs reappear again and again.

Check it out here;

This is my very first Internet video!
My English ain't perfect, but I hope you'll find the video useful!

The technique is like this;

- Take a train to Riggs Station.
- Hijack the train when you arrive at the station.
- Escape quickly and hide (so you don't get a bounty - otherwise it won't be free). Come back to the train when the investigation is finished and the lawmen are gone.
- Pick the 2 cigarette packs in the cabinets of the first train car with a safe, and make sure to close the cabinets doors behind you.
- Go at the other end of the train and pick the cards in the same cabinets in the train car with a safe (close the cabinet doors).
- Come back to the first train car to discover the cigarette packs reappeared!! Do the same with the second train car.
- Repeat until you complete all sets!

Me and my buddy are planning on doing a long weekend sesh to see if we can beat the game between the two of us in the least amount of hours while 100% completing it. Not sure if we will be able to do it in 4 days but we will try. I am absolutely going to use this method. Thanks man.

This seems like it'll take some time per packet.  It might be better to complete the treasure hunter challenges and then buy a ton of packs - the treasure hunter challenges certainly give you more money than you really need.  Or wait until after the epilogue.

Note that cards obtained through the packs are random, so the more you get, the less chance you have of getting a new one.  At some point, it's easier just to go to where that specific card is and pick it up.

It is not completely random. When I did the bug technique, or simply buying the cards in shops, at the very end I always got a new card for every 3 packs. The odds the get that last card would be 1 in 144, but it was kind of arranged and I finished the collection easily. I don't think going to the specific location of those missing cards is faster, but you are right that buying the packs is much faster.

Hey man, if you use it, please come back to me and tell me if it works. I never got anyone validating the glitch with me.

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, you're probably right there.  I did get a bit bored of button mashing after half an hour or so,

Then I learned the true meaning of patience with the Gambler 8 challenge...

Hahaha!! Yeah you are right! I think those challenges are the dumbest thing in the game. The poker games are totally arranged in our favor, which makes those challenge much more difficult than they should.

I did find a way to go through Gambler #8 fast though. I described it here;

https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/67124-gambler-challenge-8/?do=findComment&comment=1779751

... I almost given up the idea to complete the game at 100% when I reached gambler #8...

Yeah, I did perfect that whole exit the game and rejoin roundabout.  You have to do it pretty quick before the next hand is dealt.  There were a few times when I accidentally throttled someone  instead of joining the game (same button press), which slowed me down.  It's still a slog, even when you use this way of cutting down the inescapable animations.

I wanted to add that if you do this method and go into the store and just buy the packs, discard them as soon as you have 99 in your satchel, keep doing this until you have all 144 unique cards, what will inevitably happen is you will have extra's, multiples, and they sell for $2 each if memory serves, so just head to the fence with them and cash out as soon as you have the collected sets all mailed.

This was a nice little payday, along with Algernon Wasps, payment for the final list, and one other thing, I forget, my mail was stuffed with rewards, it was crazy how many $100.00 there were in there plus other things.

So dont fear buying  cards and remember if you are out scouting and it says you can not pick up another pack of premium cigs, just open satchel, discard all and keep going, you wont lose any cards doing this, as soon as you buy the cigs you get the cards and they are separated and long after you mail all the sets in, you can still collect cards you find in world and ten sell them for cash so, keep your eye out, pick  up everything the game lets you, a safe bet is just pick up everything, always.
