Online - I need ammo!

I need repeater ammo, but all the gun stores say they are 'Sold Out', how do I get more ammo?

Hmm, they should only say that if your maxed out on that ammo. Have you bought any using your catalog? If so, check the post  office or your box in your camp.

you should be able to buy some if you are not maxed out  as Burbon said.

Also make sure you have standard ammo loaded. May have ran out of split point or express. You have to manually select the ammo that is loaded.

I very rarely go to stores for ammo.

I press left on the D pad to go to Free Roam. I select Story Mission On Call. When I get put into the lobby before the story mission starts, one of the options is Purchases. If you select that, you should be able to buy your ammo. I just usually select buy all as opposed to selecting individual items. I then back out of that option and if I like that mission, I stay. If not, I just back out and either try again for a mission I want or just go back out to free roam.

I typically avoid going into towns to see grocers or gunsmiths because of griefers so this is my way of keeping my ammo topped off.

The reason it is telling you it is sold out is because you bought enough ammo and you are over the limit or at the limit. You need to collect your ammo either at the post office or at your camp and restock.

At the gun store, when you buy ammo you are limited to what you can carry since what you buy there goes directly into your inventory.

When buying ammo via the catalogue, while still limited to an amount you can buy (although it's in the hundreds), you have to go to a Post Office or your camp to pick it up.  .....and when you pick it up, you are again limited to taking only what you are allowed to carry.

I am guessing you have it at your camp or it is at the post office. I made the mistake of thinking I had the ammo, noticed it was empty, and couldn't buy it. I found it at the dang post office. I felt like a moron. lol
