Things you enjoy that most people seem not to?

I was thinking about something I do that a lot of people think I am weird for. Whenever I eat chips or fries, just plain ones, I dip them in honey, not ketchup. I never really thought this was weird as when I was younger, I would get honey with the chicken nuggets from Burger King and use it for both the chicken and fries. I thought everyone did that until I got older and got some weird looks. lol

What are some things you do that you enjoy (food related or not) that most people just seem to think you are weird for?

that's actually pretty good.  Fries and vinegar is weird, and pretty disgusting.

i'm a strong believer in fry sauce.  i'll make my own if they don't have any where ever i'm eating.  I've gone as far as asking the server if they can bring stuff from the kitchen to mix up my own since they don't offer it.  couple ingredients on the side since most places already have ketchup and mustard.  I get told by friends and family "No ordering your own fry sauce, get something besides fries" now.

I really enjoy that feeling when you are in a car and coasting, then hit a small hill and for like half a second you are in the air so your stomach does a small jolt. I guess you get this on rollercoasters as well but it isn't as noticeable.

you mean it's 10 times (or more) more noticeable.  and who coasts in a car?  much more fun to have your foot on the floor, both hands in a death grip on the wheel and a stupid grin on your face.  there's a back country road nearby that has been called the "whoopdee doo's" for who knows how long.  you hit those small hills at about 70 or 80 mph (depending on the car/truck) and you get that roller coaster feeling, but for longer than you're talking about.  The key was to hit the hills fast enough it felt like you're jumping the car/truck but not to have the tires lose contact with the pavement.  had a few friends that totaled their cars/trucks hitting the hills to fast.  3 hills in a row that you can do just like a roller coaster if you had the guts.

Lots bigger adrenaline rush there than an actual roller coaster, driving high speed just on the edge of control was friggin stupid, but hot damn it was fun!

I like the feeling of wet grass on my feet. Everyone I know absolutely hates it. I grew up on a farm (12 years) so it wasn't something that was ever weird for me lol

agreed, used to love to play in yard in bare feet, unless we had a thistle outbreak lol

Has anyone ever tried monkey gland sauce?

I never even heard of it. Is it something you can actually buy?? lol

For something I enjoy that most others seem not to, I guess I would say Chinese brand phones. I prefer them over iPhone and Samsung.

Trump as president. LOL

Seriously, I didn't vote for the dude but he has been the best president we have had in a long time. He doesn't always say things the best way but considering his background and that he is doing better than Obama, Bush, and Clinton combined, hard to ignore it all.

I wouldn't say most don't enjoy him as the president. Maybe most of the vocal people in Hollywood and news media outlets don't. I am in the middle with it. I don't think he is as good as some think but I also don't consider the dude to be on Hitler level tier or that we are all going to die because he is president. People overreact too damn much together.

Chocolate covered bacon. Had it for the first time the other day and I have no regrets. If you like chocolate and you like bacon, try it. I put it off for a long time. My friend's girlfriend made a batch and suckered me into trying some... Ended up taking some home with me.

I like to put soy sauce in soup and in chili. I have a real weak tongue when it comes to salt so soy sauce tends to add more flavor to things for me than just using salt.

Have you tried ponzu sauce?  i find it has less salt than soy and a better flavor.  it's basically a few ingredients added to soy sauce.  I really like the citrus ponzu sauce.

There is hill like this in PA that has a 2 second drop and a left curve you need to have the wheels disturbed for. that lets you know your alive!

We used to call that "bumping your birdie". I dont know what the etymology is, but we did it a lot.

Burnt cheese scraps is a favorite. (found on pizza boxes and dirty casserole pans)

Never heard it called that before but I am going to start using it now. Love the feeling. My sister used to throw up from it in the car though when we were kids which wasn't enjoyable. haha

The smell of a new pair of shoes out the box. Most people I know hate it but I love it. Same with the smell of a new book. Both bring me back to being a kid.

i'll give you the new book one.  shoes i can't go with lol.  I've always loved the smell of books too, i loved going into the library basement storage as a kid where all the old old books nobody wanted to read anymore were kept.  there were books down there published in the 1800's.  Those are now in a museum (the local ones anyway) others were sold in an auction to help fund the remodel for the library a couple decades ago. The smell in the basement is still the same though, old musty paper.

Speaking of smells i like that most people i know don't - I love the smell of burnt gunpowder.  A long day on the firing range is awesome, wish i could bottle that smell and wear it.  Another one similar is the smell of black powder, not the smokeless stuff everyone likes now, but the other stuff that would create the huge cloud of smoke.  you shoot the gun, wait for the smoke to clear and see where you hit on the target, or if the animal was down or gone.

And then there's the smell of Hoppe's 9 gun cleaning solvent, that could be cologne also :)
