Shooting/Killing Someone then Logging Off?

I played the beta.  I like most of the new mechanics and yeah, I'll like the game well enough.

I;m not saying the community got everything they asked for especially the PvE segment of their fan base.  However, they did in fact listen as you can see with some of the components of the gameplay they changed.  .....namely the bullet sponge damage mechanics, movement, healing , etc. Still don't think they took it far enough with some and wish others had been implemented that they ignored but it was what I expected from Ubi.

What I expect from Ubi is a big FU unless you are a YouTuber and then it's a little fu.  They don't want to offend the YouTubers cause then they lose free advertisement.  I also know from being on their forums for 3 years.  They don't want out input, they don't want you to know anything about their game.  What they want is for you to be happier then a puppy learning how to clean yourself, regardless of what they give you.  You are just suppose to take and be joyous for being treated badly.

I played the closed beta for about 10 or 15 minutes. Played just like the first more or less. I did enjoy the original but couldn't get into the dark zone after level 30.then got sick of doing missions on hard.

Anyway came across 2 tonight that killed me then then logged off.

First one. He came along blue in colour and just killed me. I think it was him who as soon as he killed me it came up parley however spelt then came up cancelled as he'd quit. He went straight to a ufc game.

The 2nd was funny. I was doing a stranger mission delivering a wagon. He came along and killed me and stole the wagon. He delivered it as I wasn't far away from the destination. Then once he completed it. He messaged saying "I'm so sorry". My reply was "yeah whatever". I just couldn't be bothered.

He then messaged back with " I only got 1.60" I couldn't resist replying with "I'm sorry sorry. Here let me give you another 5 dollors to make it worth your trouble".

It just made me chuckle when he said that.

Okay, we have all had low life's whack us online for unfathomable reasons.  Most, if not all, require the aggressor ( the tryhard) to surprise the defender ( all of us) and create a situation whereby the defender is powerless to respond. Sometimes that defender's powerlessness is compounded by the fact the aggressor logs off denying the defender the satisfaction of revenge. That ain't gonna change, blue dots riding up to you will always be able to frag you, its a matter of trust. Console manufacturer's have built in autosave functions to deal with network lag, game developer's can't get around that function. You might not be able to restore your character's progress at the same point if you disconnect, but you will be able to save the basic info in order to start again.

My online strategy is play with the sound on so I can hear gunfire or a fast approaching rider as well I keep my distance from everybody until I am certain they are not aggressive, oh, and I always ride with a loaded shotgun.

So here is my question, if you see a player with a red dot like Rudolph's nose on the map, meaning they are a very bad person is it poetic justice if you frag them and then YOU log off? Or are you just as bad as a tryharder?

well idk about most of these people, but i know that some people might just be practicing "assassinations" which was a huge thing in the first game when it came to Crew vs Crew immersion (not just your average posse, actual organized crews that engaged in RP to enhance what the game has to offer). If that is in fact what theyre doing then its pretty pointless at the moment considering the game has no actual player interaction considering its a shoot or be shot world or just people full of paranoia staying away from possisble griefers,

I have been tempted to do this but I felt like I would be stooping down to their level. It is a toss up. If you feel the person deserved it, then, by all means, I would say go for it but if they are just playing the game and happen to be better than you or other players, I don't know if that is justifiable.

I know for a fact that not all red dots are red because they were being douches. Sometimes they are red because they were defending themselves.

I've ridden by and with other dark red people and they were cool. My posse and theirs were doing missions in the same area, some other posse comes in hot shooting, we kinda band together to run them out of the area then go about our way. We're both dark red now. Are we bad? Nah.

Yeah, that's a good point, I've been in the same situation. Rockstar's coloured dot solution doesn't seem to work as they want it to, seems to penalize self defense.  If I shoot someone in self defense, I really don't want to deal with them any longer than I have to and the quickest things is to disconnect and simply start over.

If I know you are being a pain in everyone's arse and I am on with my crew, we will more than likely go after you.

We have gone after quite a number of these kinds of players since December. I hate being annoyed as much as the next guy so we like to be vigilant.
