Sportty Posted February 12, 2019 Share Posted February 12, 2019 For over 2 hours now, I haven't been able to finish any Online Stranger Quest because the damned game kicks me offline right before I finish it. The last status update has been linked around here a few times and we don't know anymore than that. I would encourage you to submit your suggestions/concerns directly through the R* Feedback site and Support. Beyond that, we're all in the same boat as you. Snipe Posted February 12, 2019 Share Posted February 12, 2019 I had a horrible week last week, with disconnects every 25-40 minutes, and numerous failed quests in a row. The last two days... perfection. It was so smooth that my planned 2 hour session became a 5 hour session because not once was I kicked... not one quest of like 8 I tried failed or failed to start... etc. I sometimes wonder if, whatever they are doing, is good for some, and bad for others. I see a lot of ‘contrariness’ like this post saying everything is CRAP for you (sorry that it is), when during this same time I’ve been aces. Either way, this was an issue identified by R* early on and even (supposedly) addressed in one of their early patches but it's obvious that it didn't work for everyone since some are still reporting the same error. ....and although very rare for me, disconns still occur in my sessions. I find that the statement that all these error codes mean nothing, is really the generic answer for a problem they cannot fix. Like they have no dedicated servers, yeah right. They meant he means nothing to them and they don't care enough to investigate it. Seriously though, most likely it is an error that they have no answer for. To them it may not be a concern if the number of times it shows up falls into their acceptable failure rate. Well to be honest , after all the emails and 3 phone calls with R* support, my issue is clearly not high on their list to fix soon. I was told that millions are not having this issue. I recounted all the people here that are having the same issues and added that we are not happy about it! I got the, thank you for your patience, etc. reply. So I too am not looking for a quick fix, but I must say they were cordial and professional in our communications. Another player convinced me to keep the game. I was hoping that it would have been fixed or improved by now. Looks like Feb. 26th? Hopefully the issues will be fixed, Im getting sick of it. Well, I guess it depends on what exactly you wanted fixed by now as you seemed pretty disappointed with most aspects of the game back then including several mechanics which are simply how it was created. ......in other words, some of those things won't likely ever change as it's baked into the design. Here is a thread on the topic of the latest incoming update with the info as to what it is supposed to include. There will be more details coming next week before the release. I just gave it 10 minutes, reset my router, grabbed a bite to eat and it was working again for me. These downs and drops happen at random to most players. Just have to wait them out.
