Just now a small posse was circling Madam Nazar and waiting for others to go to her and then kill them and me being one. Happy days. 3 on one. I did manage to sell something though. 🙃

You can report griefers using the in-game feature.  You can also report them through R* Support (there is a sub section for it) and provide Feedback through their feedback site.

I would also suggest using Defensive Mode when possible to also help mitigate their advantage over you in a fight while also providing you more options if you are killed.

Oh I didn't know. I thought I have to just take it. They killed another player lots too. He ran over to me and waved. As in lets join up. But they killed him and he left. I killed the first one and they all came after me. I should do as you say and go defensive.

Sounds like you had your work cut out for you. I had the game on PC, but had to get refund due to the launch issues. If the Steam launch goes off without a hitch and I may buy the game once the issues have solved. I'm currently playing on the Xbox One.

I only wanted to sell some cards ☺️ They fixed it now though didn't they? I had freezing at first. But the patches ironed that out. Shame you had issues though. I think the Steam one has had trouble too though hasn't it?

Yes, they were releasing hotfixes constantly but there are still some with certain issues.

Not sure, but I know that they have been patching it. My issue was with the CPU and GPU. My gaming laptop is running an Intel i5 with a GTX 1050 TI 4GB. I couldn't run the game beyond low settings and even with those setting it was shuttering or freezing with graphics from the PlayStation 1 day's. I haven't followed the Steam release, but I'll read up on it.

At first I had to lower mine down. And only the online was stable. So I played that and still need to really do the single player properly.  I only have an i5 and a RX 480. But it runs nice. Real shame people had serious issues though. Like not starting at all.

i5 with RX 480 is good gaming rig. Google say's the RX480 is the equivalent to a GTX 1060!. I have a desktop that I'm going to build over at my parents, I spend my weekends off over there and I have my consoles hooked up to a PC monitor at a desk at my apartment. Like an Esports setup.

I have an i7 and a GTX 1070 8GB which I bought before the prices started going up. That should run Red Dead Online like a dream!. I just have to build the rig and get a desk.

Is it? It plays RDR2 fine so it will last me. I got the PC at the end of 2016 I think. I stopped playing on the PS4 then.

Yours will run like a dream for sure yes.

All yeah. An i5 with that GPU is more than enough. To be honest, if I had to buy the parts all over again, I would go with a GTX 1060 equivalent card from AMD. Better value for the money and I would go with a Ryzen 5. I have a Ryzen 5 for a future build. Got it on sale for around $120.00 from Newegg.

I only have 8 gig of RAM. Should I get more?

I would get another 8GB bringing it to a total of 16GB RAM. When I first got my gaming laptop, 8GB of RAM was enough for Grand Theft Auto, but Battlefield 1 would shutter during cutscenes. 16GB of RAM fixed it. I heard rumors that the next gen consoles will come with 16GB of RAM.

I was playing the other morning on PS4 and really just minding my own business, I like to play the game at a slow pace which makes it more enjoyable, I have never raced about. Anyway back to the story, can't remember exactly what I was doing but suddenly bang, someone had headshot me with a Rolling Block Rifle. I being of a certain age usually take things like this in my stride so let the respawn take it's time instead of holding X to quickly do it, then again bang another headshot, this got me a bit angry so I respawned quickly and began my retribution, I don't know why but when it comes to killing other players I use my revolver (LeMat), so anyway I found him and quickly dispatched him to griefer heaven, by then I still wasn't satisfied so looked at the player list and he/she was just under level 300, while I was I think mid 60s. I killed him another 2 or 3 times then I heard a voice say please don't kill me anymore, honestly it sounded like a child of about 8 to 10 years. I could hear what I assumed was his father in the background saying give me the pad, anyway this had developed into a feud now with daddy on the hunt, no lie I am not the greatest player in pvp but this guy was absolutely Rubbish. Anyway in the end he just vanished off the session so I could get back to chilling and doing whatever I was doing. I think there is a moral in this story but I can't think of one lol.

Yep, always good to one up those who shoot at us first.... even stories bring a tear to my eye.

If youre in defensive mode dynamite arrows are great for hard to aim situations... without auto aim.

For retribution; it would depend on how many players.  Repeater with explosive ammo or navy revolvers with explosive ammo.

Incendiary shotgun is good if your character has health because t lights up the griefer and the horse.    If distance matters I would use the exploding rifle rounds.

My normal travel is griefer minded so I have dynamite arrows fitted   with bolt action .. that I switch to explosive if I see pvp possibility.. (another player - I dont grieve).

I always travel in offensive mode because it has improved regarding amount of griefing, and I have a pvp arsenal that's usually pretty stocked.... often griefers are after school players and have used up all their good ammunition, or have not reached high enough levels.   I suppose  we all like hunting griefers.

I have not had a chance to try the toxic bottles in pvp but they look like fun also... are fun against npcs

When you are using butcher/nazar/fence you can switch to map mode and see if people are camping you (sometimes.. Im confused nowadays).... if the blue dots moving away t means they have their back to you and you can shoot them (in the back... how "unneighborly").... or get on your horse and ride away.

If you're unsure of someone or just want them to leave you alone.. Use a poison arrow on their horse.  By the time they stop and administer a remedy you'll be a memory to them.... Will stop someone from chasing you... permanently.

If unsure of a player you can always put an object (even your own horse) between you and that player.   Then they cannot injure you straight up.  If you place yourself on another side of a herd.. their rifles will lock onto the anmals.. wagoneers, etc.  A good way to frustrate a griefer into moving from position if you do it casually... like your picking daisies.

If they removed the card they should give us back the RDO $900... is what they cost us.

I just equipped it on mine ( Slippery Bastard ability card ).   It's a "dead eye" card and can only be equipped in the first slot.

Been pretty slow lately online. Sometimes I will get into a lobby of people but there is always a few bad eggs so I end up leaving and joining another. End up in nearly dead lobbies. Sometimes only one other person.

Same for me. I feel like people are just getting burned out on the game already which is a shame. I think once they do a few more fixes and a big new update, things will pick back up.

It has been sometime since I played on console, been playing on PC since the release. Before that I was on a break. Noticed something right away...

The lobbies are indeed filled with people whereas on PC, not so much.

I play on console still here and there and I can confirm the same thing. I see a lot more dead lobbies on PC by comparison. Maybe they just have less lobbies running for console?

Huh. All of the lobbies I join are usually 20+ players. Different platforms, I guess?

You on Xbox or PC, cause on PC this is not the case. Consoles seem to have it better at the moment, or worse depending on how you look at it. A lot of people prefer to be alone in lobbies these days cause of all the hacking and cheating.

Had a nearly 2 hour long session without any issue earlier today. I was shocked. I wasn't disconnected. I was able to find a decent amount of animals. No missions timed out on me and not black loading screens that never loaded. I don't want to get my hopes up because it has done this before and was crap the next day but it was nice.

Yea i think the game glitched on me this morning. I saw 2 black bears next to eachother, 3-5 deer category animals AND was hit by an wolf ambush at night, all within 15 mins of gameplay on a 20+ players shard.

This bug is scary!

No luck with animals for me yet but I don't think the released an update for it. Just minor fixes. Maybe they are prepping for it. Just sucks cause I love hunting. Anyways, just been trying to level up as best I can when the game allows for it.

Don't get your hopes up. This has been a 2+ month long issue and they still haven't gotten it sorted. I am guessing it will be another few months with the way things seem to go with them anymore.

No one has any idea when they will get certain fixes done. Some they get to right away and others take a while and I think this is more so down to them having trouble with fixing issues that haven been going on for months.
