YellowDragon
I don't remember if Rockstar does anything for spring or not but I don't remember there being anything. So will the next seasonal content not be till summer? I am just curious as I really enjoyed what they did for Christmas/winter this year.
Kean_1
Seems the "big" content updates have been seasonal / quarterly. ......so yeah, I'd expect something most likely in the next 3 - 4 months or so.
MadMatt
Winter technically ends in March right? So we will get something in Spring, but my guess it that it will be marketed for Summer.
Kean_1
.....personally, I doubt they would go that long without another update. Check the update sticky if you want to get an idea of how they've been spacing these out. ......which reminds me, I have to update it with the latest patches / update threads. Yeah they will give us something new for sure but it doesn't need to be seasonally themed. I guess the next seasonal themed update likely won't happen till like June/July but we will get at least one (maybe even two) in between that with some new additions. SageNinja
I wouldn't mind seeing some more rain/storm effects for the spring time. Maybe some additional hunting things added since spring is a common hunting season.

Make so you can either sell them or open them but after you open them, they can't be sold because you keep what is inside. So it is like a gamble. You can end up with something useless when you could have had money instead.

I am enjoy hunting and treasure hunts but this sounds like it can get messy an encourage people to be stupid online.
SageNinja
If they did something like that right, sure I would take part because it is essentially like a treasure hunt which we already have but I highly doubt it would function the way you are saying and the way I am thinking. RS have said we are stuck with these camps for a while. Which means we are living in our camps for this year and probably most of next year as well. I would like to have the ability to sleep in our tents and take a god damn bath. My character hasn't slept in nearly 14 months or had a bath lol.
Kean_1
Just realized this was in the RDR2 forum. Not sure if the OP intended that or was talking about updates for RDO given there are rarely additions to the campaign. I think I think this is more about online. OP, let me know if that wasn't your intention.
redscrew
I don't know if it is worth doing anything for spring online outside of just maybe a new role and some new gear. Winter is winter. You can add snow and holiday themed items very easily. A lot of people don't really celebrate much in the spring and it is just cold and raining in many places. NF85
Well,GTA5o have had major content drop only during winter and summer when i played it some years ago and rdr2o is copying gta5, so dont hold your breath for a "4 times a year" release plan. Then again, R*s interpetations of the seasons do not follow the normal calender. Personly i am expecting just a big bug fix during spring time and then new major content beeing added either before or after the summer hollidays. DNMNetTech
I would rather see game / bug fixes before any more new content. Still have Cripps packing up camp or not setting camp. No animals when he does setup camp. Makes the trader role useless or very difficult to fill up Cripps IMO.

Well, we've only got about a year to judge that by but RDO's schedule has been busier than GTAO with content drops which makes sense given that GTAO has been around > 7 years compared to RDO (just over 1 year). Personally, I would again expect to see more from RDO this year than the much more established GTAO. Check the sticky thread in this forum. They should all be listed there. As for seasons, the updates had been coming out when they said. ......just not as soon in the particular seasons as some had hoped but they were on schedule. Also depends on whether you are going by the astronomical or meteorological calendar in that regard.
