When it comes to consoles, I've been playing PlayStation since it first came out in 94. PlayStation will always be my go to console.

I have been a fan of Xbox since Halo and its online services since Halo 2. PS has the better library, but for years my hands have adapted to the Xbox controller.

I miss the old-school gargantuan Xbox controllers that came out with the original console.  My fingers are disturbingly long, and when Microsoft went to those smaller controllers, there was nothing holding me back.  All my friends had PS4, and while I miss Halo and Gears of War, PS Vue makes up for it.

One of these days I'll pull the trigger on an XB1X, but I barely have time to play one console, let alone two.

Maybe this would change your mind?

Really not a horrible idea on their part...

When the time comes, I'll just buy whatever the NEXT console is from MS.  I have a feeling it'll be some sort of hybrid PC/console type thing, if they do anything at all.  The next frontier is basically full-on 4K HDR gaming anyways, which is partially supported by title, but I think the installation base for 4K HDR TV sets isn't where it needs to be to take that step.

I know this isn’t the point of this thread, but as far as gaming preference goes, is it just me or does anyone else have a problem getting into fantasy games? I’m only ever interested in games that are somewhat based in reality. Ghost Recon, GTA series, Red Dead, Far Cry series etc.  Humans doing human sh*t. I’ve never been interested in goblins and casting spells, witches and such nonsense. Am I alone on this?  All this being said, The Last Of Us is one of my favorite games. but at least that’s a premise I can grasp. It could potentially happen. Dragons and magic potions or fighting aliens in 2090 on a distant planet, I just can’t get into. Just me?

I was playing on the PS1 and PS2 before getting my hands on the original Xbox, since then I’ve only had Xbox’s as my console. But there are some many PlayStation exclusive games that I wish I could play from the likes of The Last of Us and God of War and Uncharted. There’s many more I’d like to try out.

I'm not hipster enough to say PC so I will say Playstation. I would say Switch if I had liked the concept behind the system more than I do just because I am a longtime Nintendo fan but ehhh. Not a fan of the Switch.

PlayStation.

The PlayStation has always been my system ever since I was little, and it's a brand I stick too just because I love it. I don't hate XBOX, but without trying to start a console war debate, I have my brand of choice, and I tend to stick with it.

Out of the main three (PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox) and PC, which of the four is your main preference when it comes to gaming?

I used to be a huge Xbox fan boy. Had the first one and the 360 but I made the switch (lol) to PS4 and I am glad I did. The Switch itself is something I want but I am not in a rush to get it. It has only been out like a year I think.

I'm opposite.  I played PS from the original to PS3,  when it died on me i bought the Xbox 360 and haven't looked back.  Also did PC gaming but gave it up for the consoles, much cheaper ;)

My longest time has been spent on the pc jumped back to the ps for madden and to play games that actually worked when they come out, playing RDR2 online is like being back on the PC! , if this game came out on pc id be back there as I do love my Ps4 but having to pay extra to play online after paying for console, game, and internet kinda sting's me abit,

I stick with xbox, but mostly because I don't know anyone (personally) that has a ps4. I also bought a Switch, but I lent it to a buddy after I realized I wasn't using it. I'll be taking it back when the new pokemon game comes out (nostalgia).

Still trying to get @Cokeyskunk on xbox. He doesn't think I'm worth it though... (lol)

Mines xbox. I used to be PlayStation, upto ps2 when cod 4 came out on ps3 and xbox 360.i was gonna get ps3 but a mate was on xbox so got that.

I did buy a ps3 eventually but as stupid as it sounds I didn't like the way the controller sat in my hands so stayed with xbox. I now have 3 xbox ones set up in different rooms lol.

I only got 1 actual friend on xbox. The one who originally persuaded me to get it. Everyone else has got PlayStation.

I really don't have a preference. Both are kind of being merged anymore. You can use keyboards on consoles now and you can use controllers with your PC.

🤨 say what?

A keyboard connected to the console (at least for xbox) is only for text input, not controlling a game.
