#SadCowboy
Starbucks is overrated. I never had it up until the other day. I got suckered into trying it. The coffee tastes like something you would buy in a can at the grocery store and not even a name brand kind.

I mean, if i wanted something that tasted like dirt, I'd go suck on a beet. For those of us who drink actual coffee the way it's intended (black), Starbucks tastes like the ashtray from a 1974 Firebird. Throw enough fat and sugar into anything and people will pay $5-$8 for it.

It is fine if you want the fancy drinks now and then but to drink it weekly is a waste of money.

There's a Starbucks in the lobby of the building I work in (it's one of the largest office buildings in the state, mostly law firms, accounting firms, and some banks). Most mornings I wait until 930 or 10 to go down for a cup, but unless there's more than 10 people in line, I never see anyone getting (and I'm quoting my dad here) "COFFEE. BLACK." If I don't say it with authority and look over them a bit (I'm 6'4"), they start pushing the up charges. It's not so bad when I get it from the place at the top of my street (local independent donut shop), because they rely on volume, so they only offer black coffee. $2, versus $5-$6 for extra fat and sugar? No thanks--I want my fat to come from meat and my sugar from alcohol, thanks.
D3x
I am not a fan of black coffee. I use them flavored creamers you get and keep in the fridge. When I was younger I was dating a girl who worked at Starbucks so I used to get a coffee every day for free. The only thing I would ever drink from there are those cold caramel things, frappuccinos think they were. I liked the mild hint of coffee flavor. It was like drinking a shake more than a coffee. I would never drink their coffee straight or just with cream. Tastes like licking pavement. As for overrated thing for me... I would say Fortnite has to be at the top of my list. I don't get the appeal of the game much less how people can play it hours on end or watch others play it.

I started drinking coffee when i was a young child, like 6 or so maybe, maybe even earlier than that. My parents wouldn't allow it at home, but Grandpa and Grandma had coffee. So when i was growing up my brothers and I would go and spend a weekend or in the summer a week or so at my grandparents. My grandpa was a ranch hand before he retired, and then after retiring he helped out with various ranchers on whatever they needed to keep himself busy. Grandma would serve breakfast at 6am sharp. If you got up at that time you could eat with them, if not Grandma would set your plate aside and then heat it up for you later. Our goal as kids was to get up and have breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma. Breakfast was a couple slices of sausage, a piece of toast, and a cup of coffee. Our coffee was like a 1/4 of the coffee cup, then condensed milk for creamer and a few spoons of sugar. That's how i grew up drinking coffee. Skip ahead about 40 years to today and i can't drink it black, i have to have creamer, but I've cut the sugar out at the doc's order snow is way over rated we have just over 4ft on the ground now and more coming this weekend and next week. I'm done with winter, bring on spring!
