These Bastards Can Fight
The These Bastards Can Fight was added to Red Dead Online with the May 14 Title Update. It requires a low Honor level to access it. This mission is for 2-4 players and has 2 phases.
The mission blip will be found north of Blackwater provided your Honor level is sufficiently low to play it. When you reach the marker, a cutscene with Samson Finch will play after the matchmaking finishes. He will task you with stealing 2 stagecoaches. The order in which you do this is up to you.
One wagon is found in Great Plains, where you’ll have an easier job due to fewer enemies being present by default. Just kill the driver of the target wagon and make off with it. As you escape towards the drop-off point, you’ll be accosted by enemy characters. While someone is driving the coach, make sure someone is also riding around on horseback to cover more ground.
The other wagon is in Strawberry, which is better protected, and it’s harder to find the stagecoach too. While looking for the wagon, try to clear out as many guards as possible, which will make actually stealing the wagon much easier. You’ll once again be pursued while delivering the wagon to the drop-off, and the same tactic applies. Remember, the wagon doesn’t deplete stamina so go as fast as you can all the way there. Once both wagons have been delivered, a cutscene will play marking the end of the mission.
Banks Don’t Rob Themselves
The Banks Don’t Rob Themselves mission is unlocked after completing the These Bastards Can Fight mission. It requires you to be Dishonorable and has 3 phases. This is a 2-4 player mission.
This mission begins at a marker near the northern edge of Saint Denis, at the Guiteau Square. Another cutscene starring Samson will trigger after matchmaking, and you will board a nearby stagecoach taking you to the bank with one of the players driving it. Once you’re in the bank, the bank manager will mistake your identity and open the vault for you, following which two players must enter while the others stay outside.
Once inside the vault, you’ll need to kill the bank manager, which will immediately give you a wanted level. You have the choice of cracking or blowing the safe, but blowing it is much quicker and the recommended choice. Make sure you’re far enough away not to take damage from blowing the safe, then grab the bonds and bolt.
Hop into the stagecoach, and go to the blip – located at the Saint Denis Cemetery – to meet Samson. Make sure everyone is on board before you leave, and always keep track of your teammates’ status. You only have two team respawns before you lose your rewards. During a cutscene the stagecoach will be destroyed, forcing you to continue on foot. During this section, make sure you stick to cover as much as possible.
If anyone goes down, make sure to revive them in order to retain your respawns. Your minimap is a major help in this section as it lets you track enemy movement. Once you reach the cemetery, you need to hunker down and fend off a few waves of attackers – here too, stick to cover as much as possible. A train will be your escape route, so you’ll need to make your way to the train station while killing lawmen. Once you board the train successfully, a cutscene will mark the end of the mission.
