In Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode, players can obtain weapons, horses and a variety of other items in several different ways. The simplest is to simply purchase them from shops once they become available.
In Red Dead Online, things are somewhat different. At the very beginning of the online campaign, next to nothing will be available for purchase from shops. Weapons, Horses and clothing items need to be unlocked before becoming available for purchase, and the only way to make this happen is by increasing your character's online Rank. Most activities in Red Dead Online award XP, so as long as you continue to play, you will be able to unlock any item.
As money is extremely hard to come by in Red Dead Online, knowing what it unlocked at each rank is quite useful, as you may want to hold off a particular purchase if you're close to unlocking another, superior item you want.
Below, you will find which items are unlocked once reaching specific ranks in Red Dead Online, starting from Rank 5. Please note that you will also receive a new Treasure Map every 5 ranks starting from Rank 10.
