  1. Simple question that I would like confirmed: What is the difference between selecting "Posse Up" and "Free Roam" on the main menu? At first I thought there were 2 different types of servers: one where players were all thrown into random posses, and another where people spawned on their own and could create posses if they wished. If a temporary "open" posse was created in Free Roam, I thought only players on the same server would be able to join, probably from the D-pad menu. However, I am now convinced that there is actually only one kind of server: Free Roam, and if you select "Posse Up" from the main menu, you are auto-joined into a random temporary open posse that someone already created in Free Roam. For any newbies Googling this topic, please confirm that I am right?
  2. UPDATE: Since the patch launched today, I have NPCs again! Everything seems to be working properly so far. I hope the same is true for all of you. Happy hunting!
  3. Yes, it's beta. Yes, it is technically "free" unless you're one of the many of us that have already invested some money in gold bars. My point isn't even so much that it's completely BROKEN atm, but that R* hasn't publicly addressed this fiasco. Of all the big-name game companies, this is my worst experience with communication to the playersbase. A simple post would at least give us some idea that they do actually care about us and are actively working to find a solution. As it is now, I'm stuck logging in every few hours in hopes that the servers are fixed since I know R* won't bother to let us know when they are. I want to believe they are better than this, but a quick Google search proves that I'm far from the only one losing faith around here.
  4. Exactly when it all started for all of us I believe. It can't be a client side problem since there are multiple servers of us poor souls stuck in these barren worlds, locked in an endless gunfight with the crazed few who somehow still have nothing better to do than blow some poor fool's brains out over and over while he whistles for his nonexistant horse.
  5. Two days now of completely broken servers and no response at all from R*? I love the game but the already near-gamebreaking bugs have now all but rendered the game DEAD. I understand it's beta but where on Earth is the support/updates from the company?? If I have missed a post by them someone please enlighten me. This is utterly ridiculous!
  6. Ahhh, thank you guys! I didn't realize there was a way to heal the horse from the D-pad menu. Healing it in the stable did not work for me, but the D-pad menu "heal" did. I figured this was a bug but maybe it's the intended penalty for not having horse insurance?
  7. You mean selecting the "care package"? If that's what you mean then yes I've even done it twice. Unfortunately the problem hasn't gone away.
  8. Okay update: logged in tonight and I'm back to the scrawny nag problem. Went to the stable and clicked all around in the saddles and other menus like before but no luck this time. I forgot to mention that my horse also keeps resetting it's bonding and every time I pull him from the stable I'm back to level 1. I have failed/died so many times because of this lame nag. What a frustrating bug!
  9. Hey, update. Somehow, something changed/worked. I went to the stable and 'tack' and mashed a bunch of buttons. For some reason I noticed I also cannot change my saddle on my horse, so no equipping the old one. However, clicking around in there must've triggered something because I'm now able to call my horse like normal. Hopefully this lasts. Good luck on your end!
  10. I'm having the exact same problem here. It happens every single time I respawn, I get the message that I have no horse available and I have to drive a nag to the stable to pick up my actual horse. And yes, I have it set as my active horse, since it is saddled up in the stable and has the "stable" option in the menu. Has anyone figured this out yet?
