RDR2 isn’t supposed to be like RDR1. In RDR1 John Marston gets suckered by the Pinkertons to track down Dutch and a few remaining members of Dutches crew and in return he’d be given his freedom, however we all know how that faired. RDR2 was before all that happened, leading up to how John Marston got out of Dutches crew and especially his relationship with Arthur Morgan developed as well as inspired and encouraged John to take responsibility as a father and a husband. You shouldn’t be so quick to judge on RDR2. For all it’s worth, I truly enjoyed both games for learning and clearing things up in RDR1 basically giving me closure on who John Marston was and what he did before he got his ranch as well settled with his wife and son. I was truly upset John died at the end of RDR1 but had the feeling it was going to end that way. Jack , Johns son gets the final revenge as well becomes the last gunslinging gang member before the new world comes into era.
