  1. Thank you and haha do it man, come out of retirement! What you have described is pretty much where I'm at now....busy trying to stack my gold bars and level up although if I am down near the swamps and see a blue dot I can't help but top try and lasso them and feed them to the gators. Gators gotta eat too ya know.... Are you in Australia? My brother who's copy of the game I borrowed after hearing of the fun I'm having has suggested I get a copy so we can make a posse and wreak havoc....the more the merrier
  2. Oh awesome, thanks heaps for that tip that's very useful! Last night myself and another players horse crashed in town. I then proceeded to shoot that player. We went back and forth, we feuded though I only had my shotgun attached and the play zone was on an open plain so I got smoked 4-1. When we respawned in town....I rode them down, shot their horse and then shot them. Some members will be pleased to hear I was then hunted to extinction by 3-4 players and hassled relentlessly until I quit. It was good fun and I was still giggling to myself over the horse shooting incident as I was brushing my teeth and again when I got in to bed.
  3. I don't think I've been clear enough, by griefing I simply mean killing somebody who is not hostile/just going about their business. That is acting as an outlaw. It's a game about the wild west. I do not mean following them across the map (in most circumstances) nor across servers. Just a bit of fun killing someone a few times, maybe feuding then leaving it be (if I win). It's a game, relax. If you don't like other players shooting you then perhaps there are other titles that would suit your sensitivities. Calling people who get shot in a video game where that is both enabled and encouraged is just being overly dramatic. Again, it is a game. Serious question, when a bear or cougar rips me off my horse and mauls me are they trolling/griefing or is it just part of the game?
  4. Many thanks Sigill for the warm welcome and advice, it is an amazingly rendered game and a delight to explore. Deacon's Regulators must be your posse? Hope to see you some time!
  5. Apologies, I've received a warning and was only making comments in good fun although they are 100% genuine - a confession if you will and letting you know that by openly discussing annoying griefer tactics, you are essentially creating a free list for us outlaws. I'm dead serious about that being my motivation in the game though. To me it's role playing being an outlaw or as we call in Australia a bushranger. Hence the Kelly in my name (see Ned Kelly). See you all out there, keep your heads low
  6. I would like to sincerely thank you all for your hints and tips. I only started playing last night and have decided the majority of my joy will be derived from riding around griefing other players just trying to go about their business and sit here giggling like a school girl whilst I am doing so. The comments on here ie; "I hate it when griefers *insert example here*" - these have been most helpful in providing me with ideas on how to grief you better. I have even spent $15 on gold bricks to upgrade my armory as I have only just begun and need more fire power. If you come across me out there......I will shoot unprovoked with the explicit intention of taking you out with a headshot. Don't be upset though......the game needs bad guys :)
