The reason people are experiencing different results is simply due to distance to TV. I dont notice it at all cause i sit 3-4 meters away. But go close to the TV and you will see how insanely blurred it really is. Then put on another game that uses Checkerboard 4K like Horizon or God of War and see how insanely detailed and sharp it looks. It looks native 4K. So RDR2 is doing something completely wrong with theyre checkerboard 4K........

W40 is perfect. You get nice greens and white colors. I use it myself on my LG OLED C7 and its recommended by pro calibrators.

Red Dead is a system seller so i bet Sony will push Rockstar. Anything else would be very very strange.

I sit too far away to get too much worried about the blur, but what stops me playing several times is the 30fps which is bad on all consoles. In an open world where you want to explore its a nightmare to turn around and have everything around you just blur out. I wish they could give us a performance mode instead of 4K. Difference between 1080 and 4K is so hard to see when viewed from a distance. Performance is everything.

I feel they gonna patch it, its just too much noise for Sony to handle i think. And if they fix the blur its really going to look almost identical to X and fixing HDR would be a bonus.

That kinda makes no sense though. If you two with both LG 4K tv's are experiencing different results its due to TV's not PS4 Pro. You sure you are comparing at the same day/night cycle? and at the same distance to the TV

Yeah i have not seen any proof that Rockstar is working on it. All this started from a support chat where the guy basicly said they are working hard on all issues, thats a normal response on any game. Doesnt mean they working on this blurring issue. And the fan sites are quoting from this forum as well making it even harder to tell whats true or not. I think the problem with fixing this that it might give worse performance, maybe this blur is whats needed to have a steady 30fps? hope not but RDR2 is one insane detailed world, i cant believe the consoles are actually rendering this at all.

Here is God of War's checkerboard 4K which actually was said to be not perfect but is heaps and leaps beyond RDR2. I am very close to the TV here and i can see pigments of the skin clearly and i can make out every fiber of cloth that he wears...... This just proves that if Rockstar can patch this up PS4 Pro can look nearly as good just as good considering X and Pro uses same assets.

There are no TV's in the world that have 240Hz in 4K mode. Thats just a marketing gimmick. They are advertising 240Hz with TruMotion enabled and thats something entirely different and that mode is usually disabled in game mode as it gives input lag. I have an LG C7 OLED 65" and thats a pretty insane TV. Heres how it looks without HDR. Its pretty clear i feel except the treets in the back thats blurred out. But taking picture even closer you see how blurry it is. I think this is 100% due to the checkerboard 4K not beeing perfectly implemented. Tried enabling TruMotion and using deblur but has no effect.

Hmm i think im on to something. Looking at the posts above it seems that you guys are experiences way worse problems than me. I have a very fast SSD installed in mine and games like this stream data pretty heavily. Can you guys take some photos from Valentine and then we compare? After turning off HDR it looks very clear in daylight time for me. But my PS4 Pro is not standard, SSD installed so maybe that has something to do with it? No idea or my eyes are bad 😛 Those with blur, take photo of it and i will go to the same scene and daylight to see if its any different. Edit: NEVER MIND! I moved more close to the TV and holy hell the motion blur. So yeah if youre close to the TV then this is truly a nightmare. I sit 3-4 meters away. But going closer even the trees really close to me are just out of focus.

I wouldnt sell the PS4 Pro. It has too many amazing games on it while Xbox almost have none. You going to have a nice time with RDR2 and then what? On PS4 you have Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn. All these are amazing titles.

Recommending to change to 1080P..... im on a 4K OLED with Dolby Vision support and atmos speakers. I think i just cant hold back anymore, i think i will end up with an X at the end of the day :/
