All the sudden after the Oil Tracks Train Robbery Mission, my Dead Eye said it upgraded but now it doesn't paint x's on people... the game f'ing sucks now and I can't beat the mission I'm trying to get out of a town full of people trying to kill me.. do they really take the paint x ability away? I have no clue how to get that back... I can't believe I am having to make a forum account because I can not find anyone having this issue... all tutorials online suggest dead eye is suppose to always paint x's and now I think maybe my game is broken and I should revert back to an older save file. (maybe they needed 120 hour work weeks because they suck, this is just absurd to me; I'm a returning console gamer and can not believe how little info is in game; it's like ttwo is doing internet bloggers a solid by making this mad confusing)
