  1. Keep complaining guys. That's what the thread is for, really. 👌
  2. I continue to check on this thread and either see topics off track or people pitching in problems from the xbox one x. Brothers having problems over there too? That's a shame if it's that bad. Though, you should definitely make another thread for issues on xbox. As it will get lost here on a thread specifically noting the PS4 Pro.
  3. @0ldKen We definitely feel your frustration man. It bothers me... A lot. It was the first and only complaint I had about the game on the first day I played it. I'm waiting patiently as the developers work diligently on their first patch. No doubt it'll be a big patch whenever it does get released. I understand we have no word on whether or not this particular issue is being addressed at all. With that being said, it's best we hold our frustration so that you can prepare for the worst; you don't want to ruin your mood day in day out to then figure out the patch hasn't fixed the problem. 😰
  4. You're right, it does not; the blur is still very much there when HDR is turned off. I personally try to keep from pinning the issue on any aspects of the game, that's something for R* to figure out.
  5. There is no way R* has yet to see that people are having issues with HDR or the PS4 PRO version of the game. They're likely just kept quiet as to not disappoint everyone on a fix that will either never come or is far off from being released. I hope this isn't the case, but I'll be wherever this argument is either way, making sure I'm there to back it as I'm not going to be buying an XBOX in the foreseeable future.
  6. It definitely has. Which isn't necessarily good for the issue the game is having.
  7. Nice video. This always has frustrated me with R* games, but I never took to forums about anything as it struck me more as an attempt to make your character feel weighted. I dunno, just what I thought about it.
  8. @Taranto I agree that the response written to him was over the top, but I'm sure you understand people are getting frustrated to have yet heard from rockstar that they at least acknowledge what's going on with this particular issue. Having a blurry image on a pro to the point in which it's more comfortable to drop it down to 1080p resolution is a big deal. Being that the picture quality is the pull factor into buying a pro. Those who bought it shouldn't get a lesser experience, nor an experience that's on par with the base model PS4. It should be better. Especially when it is marketed it as such. People are getting upset because they're putting in so much work into getting rockstar to hear them out, to then have someone come along and say this isn't a big enough deal is a thwart to their efforts. If there's a problem in which someone can see themselves, what's the harm in agreeing that it should be fixed?
  9. Blurry HDR? Fake HDR is more like it. The game looks blurry WITHOUT HDR on, so it isn't really the HDR that's causing the blur issue. The illegitimate HDR is a problem of its own, from what it seems, separate from the blurry mess.
  10. Right. They have a platform they can use to better spread the problem. Thing about all this is... Rockstar likely saw the differences between the pro and the base PS4 before the game was released. Unless they isolate each version of the game the difference is like night and day. And that's not to say that players would only be able to tell the game looks blurry when comparing, as it was my first and only complaint on the game without having yet glanced at the base PS4 version. It's upsetting to say, but you can definitely see that 1080p on the base playstation looks better than an upscaled 4k on the pro. My point here is one of two things. Either Rockstar didn't have enough time to fix it, or they didn't care enough to classify the blur as an issue. Judging by their fake HDR, I'm leaning towards the latter option. Oddly I set my output on the PS4 pro to 1080p and compared with the base PS4, noticing it still did not look as clean as the base PS4s 1080p. this is something someone else should give a try as to confirm. I did look over to a base PS4 version to compare the two in this case. Could it be there is a setting on the PRO we can not change regardless of whether we output to 4k or 1080p?
  11. I'd urge everyone to clarify with other posts that it IS an issue PS4 PRO users are facing, and not something necessarily all players on all other consoles are dealing with. I've seen some posts were either a player on a base PS4 denies that there's anything wrong with the picture quality, as well as people blaming the issue on tv settings. If we aren't sure to make clear where the problem lies, it'd take even longer to fix. Though, here's to hoping Rockstar has that figured out already. I've seen what the game looks like on a base playstation 4 console at 1080p on a regular tv because my younger brother plays RDR2 just behind where I have my setup. it is without a doubt an issue specific to the playstation 4 pro version (when comparing base PS4 & PS4PRO). This is, however, not an issue that is brought about specifically by the HDR. Although the colors do not look as great with the HDR active, (due to it not being true HDR) the game still looks blurry when HDR is turned off. I have read that the 4k on xbox one x looks fantastic, yet the HDR seems to be an issue across the board (again, apparently not true HDR). I'd like to thank all of you for taking the time to post on the forum, because a single post wouldn't have been enough. Here's to hoping over 30 pages does the trick. If anyone comes across any post confirming a fix on the issue. It'd be great to see it posted here as soon as possible. Thanks again guys.
  12. Whats upsetting to me about it all is that I have a PS4 pro which was said to look better than the base PS4. Younger brother and I played the game in the same room but he was on the base PS4 and I on the pro with a 4k tv. My first and only complaint about the game was, "The game is great, I guess the only thing I would say is that it looks pretty blurry for some reason, right?" as I turn to see my brother playing and enjoying the better clarity on his 1080p screen. Immediately taking to the internet to see if I was crazy. I hope they give us the acknowledgement we deserve.
