  1. You don't get frame rate issues / stuttery image on 1X? I get it pretty bad on my LG C8, and no picture mode changes have been able to help it.
  2. ^ Don't use game mode for RDR and you'll fix the artifacts by placing de-judder to 5. Worked for me at least. Dof issues aren't happening on Xbo X so I can't help with that
  3. de-judder settings smooth out frame rate issues at the expense of pixel artifacts around character while moving. It's a slider though, so it can be adjusted to a value where pixel artifacts become unnoticeable enough. That's what worked for me
  4. The drop in visuals was totally unacceptable for me on the PRO, even with your settings. On XBO X though, I also had bad fps / stability issues that I was able to fix by calibrating my TV a specific way (I have an LG C8).
  5. I hate to say it, but at this point we are all better off gifting ourselves an XBO X and RDR2 for Xmas and never looking back. The game is long and replayable enough (1st person, evil run) that you can really make use of the hardware. Unless of course you: A. Don't have the money (totally reasonable) B. Have other games to play - and there are a lot of decent ones (Monster Hunter: W, Spider-Man, DBZ:FighterZ, or for Switch owners, Smash & Pokemon.) C. Stubborn
  6. I've been following this forum and issue for over a week now, and, sadly, I finally caved and picked up an XBO X to resolve it. I work long hours at my job, waiting patiently for months to play this game, and am just tired of the day-to-day suspenseful wait to simply see whether Rockstar *is aware* of the issue. To whoever is doubting whether it's a legitimate issue on the PS4 Pro you're absolutely wrong. On the Pro with HDR the game is so muddy and blurry it looks like someone took a saturation and sharpness slider and dialed it back to -100. With HDR off a blur can be seen on character's faces and nearby objects in buildings that eventually becomes so distracting it will hurt your eyes. In 1080p the blur goes away, but the overall image quality falls noticeabl, with hair on head or horse looking pixelated and fuzzy to such an extent it looks like a PS3 game. I was prepared to be brutally honest with myself in determining whether the purchase was justified; the answer was clear within minutes. Image quality on the X has improved in all aspects substantially. There are many more details I wasn't able to see on the Pro: glitter on snow, a glow and flicker of candlelight, and lush facial animations. Overall, everything has become sharp and crisp. So to those questioning the legitimacy of this issue, don't. It's incredibly frustrating for anyone involved, and even though I have the correct experience in hand now, I definitely feel cheated. I'll play the game at least twice in first and third person and hopefully use the console for higher definition movie-watching, but hope this issue is resolved is resolved soon for those still stuck in wait.
  7. It's also reassuring to know a patch is currently in motion. If that's the case, we should expect known issues to get fixed.
  8. After submitting a ticket to report the problem, this was the reply: Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support.I understand that you are facing the blurry issue and I will try to resolve it. However, I request you to please follow the below following steps and hope it will resolve the issue. Fully shut down your console. After 30 seconds of the console being shut down, restart the console. Launch RDR2 When launching RDR2, wait until a black screen appears after the initial splash art has disappeared, and hold down L1+R1 throughout the opening scenes. If successful, you will be prompted to re-calibrate your language and brightness options. If the issue still persist please feel free to get back to us, I will be happy to assist you further.Best regards,Priyanka L.Rockstar Support If that doesn't work, it's at least somewhat reassuring that she responded with, "*the* blurry issue," implying they are aware of what's going on internally.
