Online poker money to the house

I sit down at the table with some friends. We play a few rounds, and I notice that the house takes in a portion of the pot after the round. There is no dealer and no cocktail waitress. How do they get off with taking a portion when there is nearly no service offered?

Because rdr2 hates the idea of you making money and will stop at nothing to make sure you earn as least as they can possibly get away with

The amount is so small, it is hardly worth, getting wound up about it.
