Hi.

I have seen a similar post here from over a year ago, so I was hoping someone had come across a solution.

I'm on a gaming laptop with a nVidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti card with 16GB of RAM.

When I first started the game, it ran very choppily, so I tried troubleshooting. FYI, nVidia control panel (forcing GPU to nVidia) did nothing.

I found that RDO allows you to select the video adapter. Interestingly, adapter 0 and 2 show 32GB of RAM, so I'm assuming that is my onboard Intel GPU using regular RAM. As long as I select these (not sure why there are two of them...), the came has very low FPS.

Adapter 1 plays the game much faster - but only on my external monitor which I only use for email and Discord.

The option to pick a monitor is greyed out.

I tried windowed mode, but when I move the window into my main monitor, it disappears and snaps back to the external monitor.

I once tried editing settings.xml to switch from Vulkan to DX12 (and then set the file to read-only), and while that did move the game to my main monitor, it gives me an error about an outdated Intel driver and then quits no matter what I do.

I contacted Rockstar support - their first reply was that Alt-Tab is disabled in RDO, their second was to create a second Windows account. Neither of those have much to do with what I wrote, so I really don't have much hope for getting a better answer from them. I asked for a higher tier of support, but I am doubtful at this time.

Has anyone come across a fix for this? Clearly I'm not the only one, but I haven't seen a fully working solution yet.

Thanks!
