The Legend of the East Outfit
The best outfit in Red Dead Redemption 2 is also the most difficult to acquire.
Like its inventory expanding counterpart, the Legend of the East outfit takes a lot of effort to unlock, but the benefits are worth it.
Throughout the game, there are a total of 90 challenges subdivided into 9 categories. These are all tied to your cores – read more about them here – and vary from the trivial to the challenging.
Some of these challenges are the sorts you’ll accidentally complete just by playing the game, while others will require special attention. Once you have completed all 90 challenges, your reward will be the Legend of the East outfit. For putting in all that effort, a cosmetic outfit just wouldn’t do – what if someone just doesn’t like the way it looks?
In order to avoid having the outfit be a letdown, it is also packed with a bunch of stat bonuses. While wearing the Legend of the East outfit, you’ll get 7 individual 10% buffs. Your cores deplete 10% slower, sustained melee damage is reduced by 10%, the Dead Eye meter drains 10% slower for 3 seconds, attribute XP gain is increased by 10%, sustained damage while on horseback is reduced by 10%, loot money is increased by 10% and finally weapon degradation is reduced by 10%.
