The Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app is going to be released for both iOS and Android devices on October 26th, the same day RDR2 releases worldwide. The app will be available for free, and it will allow players to further customize their experience.
For starters, players will be able to access the map at any time without having to go through in-game menus, making it much simpler to keep track of the many collectibles and side-events included in the game. It will also be possible to zoom the map in and out, set waypoints and so on.
The app will also display Arthur's info and stats at any time. This will allow players to completely remove any and all HUD elements from the screen, leading to a truly cinematic experience.
The app also keeps track of players stats through the Rockstar Social Club.
As if all this wasn't enough, the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app will also include Arthur's diary, where he will keep track of all the events that will transpire during the course of his journey and even a copy of the game's manual.
Those looking to have all the information regarding the game on hand at all times will also have the option to purchase the digital version of the Complete Official Guide by Piggyback and access it through the app.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature a customizable experience and it seems like Rockstar has improved nearly every aspect, offering even more options than previously before. Search for the Red Dead Redemption 2 companion app on the App Store and Google Play Store starting from October 26th.
