Two Headed Skeletons Accosting Red Dead Online Players

Two Headed Skeletons Accosting Red Dead Online Players

Unfortunately, hackers have recently reared their ugly heads in Red Dead Online, harassing players and messing with the gameplay in various bothersome ways.

While hacking isn’t as significant an issue as is grew to be in Rockstar Games’ other major multiplayer title, GTA Online, it’s still a nuisance – especially when two-headed skeletons enter the mix.

The latest prank being pulled by hackers in Red Dead Online is becoming, or spawning, invincible two-headed angry skeletons. First recorded by Reddit user ‘Keisenberg_’, ever since news of the dicephalic undead began spreading more and more players have reported encounters with the fiends.

When spawned, these NPCs are hostile towards all players and engage in fisticuffs. While varying degrees of creepy through nonsensical to hilarious, the situation can become wearisome considering the two-headed skeletons are invincible and don’t cease until you are dead.

The two-headed skeleton model used by the hackers isn’t a custom creation, but an actual in-game model that can be found in unmodded versions of the game as well. If players venture to the abandoned circus wagons in West Elizabeth, the two-headed skeleton – presumably belonging to a former performer – is visible. Single player mods allowing you to switch out Arthur Morgan’s model for the skeleton exist.

It’s easy to assume that hackers simply made the leap of using the single player mod in Online together with some invincibility hacks and enemy spawning to bother others with these undead. Hopefully Rockstar steps in and rids Red Dead Online of hackers quicker than they did GTA Online.

Other tricks up hackers’ sleeves include turning players into sticks of dynamite, teleporting you all over the map, bombing horses, or crashing games with item spawns. Typical behavior like instakilling and invincibility are also common.

While we wouldn’t wish this upon anyone, if you do end up getting attacked by two-headed skeletons, please make screenshots – there simply isn’t enough visual documentation of this phenomenon.
