Overview
The game world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is massive, with a wide array of biomes and geographic diversity. Players can explore this game world to uncover points of interest and landmarks on the map, which are helpful when it comes to navigation or finding specific items, characters or areas.

These points of interest are marked on your map, and can be highlighted to help traveling to them from any other location. Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't have a traditional fast travel mechanic, so you'll be travelling a lot if you want to explore every point of interest.
Points of Interest
Of the 49 Points of Interest found in the game, players must discover at least one to unlock the 100% completion achievement. To discover a Point of Interest, you need to interact with it hwne the game prompts you. This will also unlock a sketch in Arthur Morgan's sketchbook, as well a brief passage of text describing it.
