I know that there is a concept of weapon affinity in story mode (see here https://www.rdr2.org/guides/weapon-affinity-guide/), but I don't know if that same thing exists in Red Dead Online too? If so, does it work the same way as story mode? Thanks!

Yes they have certainly been busy. Well done and thanks to Rockstar for making such a massive amount of fixes in a comparatively short period of time. That said, some of the bugs were darn frustrating!
