I'm having it clearer than ever that good Writing is of absolute importance to the quality of a single-player video game. Recently, I've played West of Loathing, which has superb writing, then I've played RDR2. which makes hunting wild boars a huge relief from the boredom of that game's pathetic, useless writing. West of Loathing is a much better game than RDR2. There's a reason for it.
