  1. This is exactly what I do, people rarely grief me, but honestly I don't even really care if they do or not, I'll fight back, and they will wish they didn't
  2. Yeah that definitely is a strange one. Hopefully, you won't have to download the full game for each update. That would be insanity.
  3. This can definitely changed throughout the life cycle of Red Dead Online, just because small things are locked behind gold are not really necessary now, doesn't mean they won't add important things later down the line locked behind gold bars. Some people just don't have the time in their everyday lives to "grind" and work for something in the game, so people just want to have fun. R* doesn't really give enough gold for missions for that to be possible, you'd have to sit and play for hours and hours until your fingers fall off, and play again the next day just to dump it all on things like gun customization. This was the exact same story in Grand Theft Auto Online, things costed way to much, money was kind of hard to earn in large amounts, and people weren't having fun. You may not care what is only exclusive for gold bars, but others do, so as much myself, I just wanted to change the colors of my guns "FORK OVER THE GOLD CAPTAIN!" - Lol Hold on a second. Red Dead Redemption 2 sold through more than 23 million copies in the third fiscal quarter ended December 31. So let's do some simple math here, what's 23,000,000 times ($60 a copy). Yeah we are talking $1,380,000,000 and that's just "standard addition". I'm not sure the statistics on deluxe editions etc. So, it's actually more than the amount I just calculated. Red Dead Redemption 2 has has made over $1.3 BILLIONS DOLLARS and they need additional revenue? Not to mention they made way more with Grand Theft Auto 5 sales alone, not even including micro-transactions.
  4. I love Indian culture, and I really think R* can add this into the game without making angry faces. The only people who WOULD be disrespectful is the players THEMSELVES. But, lets just be honest here, not everyone is respectful even if there is Indians or not, people would murder feminists protesters and throw them into the swamps for the alligators to eat, so no matter what you do, there will always be "that person". Not everyone is a good cookie in Red Dead Online, as I'm sure most of you are aware. I think adding Indians would benefit those who love the culture, and be something different rather than a cowboy, it always leads to the possibility of new weapons, clothes, face paint, horse accessories and so much more. Just thought an Indians DLC would be awesome to add into the game of "FREE ROAM" without R* adding a back story that would come out disrespectful, more so that the player can decide and get what they want out of the game. More of a "free of choice" approach rather than "repeating history" approach if this makes sense.
  5. You may be correct on the historical part, but again, Red Dead Online is a fictional video game mode, this isn't history class my friend. I really think adding Indians into the mix would be an awesome idea. They can do it in a way where it's not racist, and literally free of choice if you would want to be Indian or not. Indians were already added into the game via Story Mode, so they could possibly add it to Red Dead Online in a way that's not so offensive or disrespectful. Indians fought for their lives, and I'm pretty sure Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't about slaying Indians and taking their land, and most of if not ALL of the story in Red Dead Redemption 2 is fictional and a made up story. I'm not saying add Indians to the story, but they can add fun missions to play and earn cool gear as they were part of this time period and fought for what they believed in. Not sure how this would be a disrespectful act, more like honor if anything. Even though adding Indians would have NOTHING to do with them being destroyed, but adding them into the game as a part of the era and that anyone who chooses to support the Indian tribe as one if they wish, could do so. Poor taste? Adding Indians adds variety of the game. Indians of this time period may of been getting destroyed, but that doesn't mean the entire game is based off of real life and pure non-fiction events. Indians fought for what they believed in, and I think it would be nice to add them into the game as a variety of style in character. Red Dead Online is fictional and suppose to be fun for all players to meet online and have fun. This isn't based off of a real story, Red Dead Online is for everyone and all players. Indians were apart of this era big time, and they fought for their lives. I really think they deserved to be honored somewhat even though the governments were trying to destroy them. I personally love Indian culture, and I think it would be a great idea to add them into Red Dead Online for those who may want to honor them, not totally forget about their presence.
  6. Speaking of changing colors of your weapons... I want a black bow a black bow with fire arrows would be amazing!!
  7. Hey guys. So I've been thinking about this for a while, and I was wondering what you guys would think about an Indians DLC? I really think this would add some variety into the game. This is just a cool idea I've been fantasizing about. The Idea: Imagine a DLC where it's all about Indians. Maybe we can have some story missions with this particular DLC along with awesome outfits, Tipis, Indian themed horses and face paint. In the story mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, there was a small segment of Indians but it didn't get much involved to much, which was kind of a bummer. I really think this could give Red Dead Online a nice touch and a little bit of variety. The DLC should include: Tipi's Indian Outfits and Accessories Spears Native American Themed Horses Face Paint Story Missions Let me know what you guys think about a Indians DLC coming to Red Dead Online.
  8. Yeah, but although they give us gold bars for promotions here and there, it still kind of locks content within the game itself. This was a big problem with Grand Theft Auto Online, the fact that yeah, you can earn your own cash, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous, almost not even worth grinding for and the time, unless you did money making glitches. Not everyone has the time to play and grind it out for hundreds of hours a week, which is kind of a bummer for those who are just to busy to grind and make the funds to buy items. If someone doesn't have time to play the game all the time, they have to pay out of pocket to enjoy the items in the game? There is a MASSIVE controversy about this in general, and that's why people weren't happy with how Grand Theft Auto Online turned on. Money was hard to make, items were to expensive. You either had no life grinding your life out on a video game to get your items, or fork over the cash for in game currency.
  9. This is probably exactly what happened, I must've collected the letter when collecting all ammunition and stuff that I had ordered.
  10. Anytime! We are very glad to have you on board. Kick up your feet, and make yourself at home. 😎
  11. Well, I feel like a complete idiot. This entire time, it was in my satchel under "Letters". Can't believe I didn't check the satchel, I was waiting around for this letter to appear at the post office. Thank you @The_Liquor and @Moosh89 for the help, I really appreciate it. Now I need a beer. Cheers 😛
  12. You must of misunderstood what I said regarding the post but that's okay let me just clarify once more. I wanted to customize my guns to "blackened steel" to match my characters outfit and to do so, changing the metals and overall look of the gun requires gold. Attachments are a different story, I'm talking about the customization of the gun such as Metals, Varnishes, etc because I was trying to black out all of my guns. I wasn't referring to the actual attachments and components of the gun such as Barrel, Sights, Scope, Stocks and Wraps, because those don't change the color of the actual gun. You mentioned you only used gold for metals for changing the color and such, well you can only use gold on metals, and the overall style of the gun, I didn't see an option to use cash, otherwise I would have done so. I know when to spend gold, and when not to if NOT necessary.
  13. Welcome to the forum @GrimnirTheGruesome and best of luck to you on your posse recruitment!
  14. Yeah, I had like 50 gold bars yesterday and blew it all last night because I wanted my guns black. I knew it was going to be expensive, but it had to be done. I'm just kind of angry that it costs so much in gold for the metals. I mean, it's nice to change the gun, but we are talking straight up gold bars for these little parts which is ridiculous.
  15. Oh yeah, I definitely will. I'm off of work today, so today consists of Red Dead Online, food, and checking out that Deadwood movie tonight. Hooray!
  16. Thanks, I'll definitely update this thread if something happens. Maybe someone else might run into this issue, who knows.
  17. I just checked every post office and checked the map and I can't seem to find the letter. I'm not sure why, but I've made sure if I had any letters, but I simply don't have any. I wonder if this is a bug, or something happened to the letter. I'm not entire certain. I'm curious if replaying one of the missions that gives you the letter after it will work. Do you happen to know what mission will give you that letter?
  18. This topic was discussed on another thread regarding the expenses of customizing your weapon so I thought I'd make a thread about this. So, if you haven't customized any weapons yet, you may soon to find them very expensive. When customizing your weapon in Red Dead Online, just to change basic parts on the gun can cost anywhere between 1-3 gold pieces per part, which adds up to an average of around 10-15 gold per gun depending on how much customization you've put into your weapon. Long story short, I was trying to upgrade all my weapons to "Blackened Steel" to match my black outfit that is applied to my character, so I made the decision of blacking out all of my guns the best I could to make it look a lot better. So, I went to the gun shop and started to change the colors of the guns. I looked at the final price of gold bars it would take to actually complete a single weapon and my mind was blown on how much gold you actually need to have to customize your own guns. I don't know about you, but you will quickly find this adds up in gold bars very quickly that its not even funny. On average, a pack of 25 gold bars costs around $10 without the $5 sale they have going on now. So if you think about it, it's about $10 just to customize two weapons, and there is a lot of weapons in the game. Yes, you can earn gold by working for it, but just imagine saving up 45 gold bars grinding it out, and you can easily dump all of your gold into a few guns. Honestly, I think R* should lower the costs in gold to customize your weapons and maybe charge more gold for bigger things such as property, elite horses and stuff like that, not blow all your gold just to customize your entire weapon wheel. If you think that guns should be lowered in costs to customize regarding gold prices for each part, please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and honest opinions!
  19. I was expecting the gun upgrades to be a little cheaper. I just wanted blackened steel guns to match my outfit because I'm wearing all black, so I used up pretty much all 40 gold bars I had, and for the convenience of getting all of my guns black, I bought the $5 25 gold pack sale that they had I think it was, and that was immediately gone right after I finished up my rolling block rifle.
  20. @Moosh89 61% Completion Story Missions Completed: Love and Honor The Right Side of the Tracks If the Hat Fits... Where Your morals Lead You Highly Illegal and Highly Moral Kill Them, Each and Every One Bring a Goddamn Posse The Hanging of Tom Davies
  21. Thanks for the reply @Moosh89 I'll definitely get back to you on that!
  22. Speaking of gold bars, customizing your weapons is so expensive!!!! I have a full black outfit, but I didn't want the guns to have a wood finish, so I wanted blackened steel guns, and oh my goodness to change the entire gun is like 8-10 gold bars alone and I had a lot of weapons to customize.
  23. I just think if you don't want to be bothered, just put on passive mode. I know that the passive mode isn't completely bulletproof, but if R* ever changes it so you can't be killed whatsoever, I think it will help those who just want to hunt and do other things besides getting into gunfire with randoms.
  24. Hey guys. Just wanted to know who seen the new "Deadwood" movie that just came out yesterday on HBO. I'm probably going to watch it in a little bit, I heard it's pretty good.
  25. Hey guys. So I am wondering why the missions aren't appearing for me as I'm not quite sure what I'm doing incorrectly. When I go to view the progress for missions in Red Dead Online, it says I'm 60% done with the missions. I know that the missions sometimes correlates with the honor system which I've got really good honor. Last night, I was thinking "Okay, well maybe I need to get bad honor for the other missions to pop up." So, I then go into Saint Denis and start raining havoc on everything that walks. Once I've done this multiple times for a good while, the missions still hasn't popped up. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Thanks
