I am NOT trolling! I dont think this product is a game, more a tv-serie. You dont ever make a decision.... Not once during this story do you ever use skills or brains. I was soo looking forward to this and feel like Im duped. Sitting here following someone for 45 hours. How can you call this a game? Im thinking that this product must be made in a communistcountry, because you are just allowed to do exactly what they scripted you to do and you have to do it very slow. Its the very opposite of what you should expect from a freeroam/sandboxgame. I see you try to explain that the lack of smoothness and the clunkyness, but all other games you would compare this to has a smooth movement and far better layout and Rockstar is stuck at the terrible movements from a old game. For fans I guess they stick with it, but my guess is that 85% that bought this game, will do as I did. Get bored and find a game that is more fun and not scripted to death.

It was ofcourse to show that i have played these kind of games alot and have a reason to compare. Nothing else, but read it the way you prefer....

Well, I have a gamerscore over 85000 on Xbox and normally open world games are my favorite. I just finished AC Odyssey and couldnt stop playing. On this I played for a few hours and didnt like any of it. Day after release I tried again and had to force myself trhough few more hours cause I just spent good money on this and was hoping game would shine. I stopped playing tuesday in chapter 3 and have 26 hours in this and even though Im bored to death right now i cant make myself play this game. I dislike the linearity, the terrain, the speed, the movements, the lack of own choices, the menus and the lagging. Its exactly comparing to other games I IMO rightfully gives this 3 Compared for me to eg. AC Odyssey that has real HDR and a huge fun world with freedom and smooth movements, its a huge difference. Must add that i really, really hoped to enjoy this, and even tried to take 2-3 shoots of Japanese whiskey, Hibiki, before playing to get in right mood, but no;-)

Games like Destiny, AC Odyssey and Fallout are games where you can move the character in all directions smoothly. In Rockstar games its like there are 4 movements. North, south, east and west. Seeing moving around is a big part of games like this, thats a big drawback. The menu and layout on using weapons and stuff is bad. Hunting and every time I pick up something the weapon change to fist, and that is just a bad solution. The "missions" are very tedious and boring because you dont ever use you skills or brain. Everything is scripted and its very rigid in that. The lack of fast travel in a more traditional way is a big bummer for games like this. The following is never good in games, and this game is nothing but following commands in all aspects of game. Following someone is not what i hope for in a open world game and when the terrain is made as it is in this, you cant freeroam this "open world" as you can in most other open/sandbox games. The lagging and cheating Rockstar pulled on HDR is also a pretty big negativ which seemed to be a place where I could give good notes, but no. The bountysystem and how you interact with others in cities is bad, and as some points out, must be flawed. You get wanted for doing nothing. The speed of the overall game is fun the first 2-3 hours, but the fun stops after you did the same just plain stupid slow speed all over the game. Its recordbreaking tedious and you dont ever use your own brain in a game where you are limited to just follow commands. You can almost play this game putting on a movie and just hold the A button from time to time.. When you move a character in GTA its just like moving in RDR 2, but isnt there decades inbetween these games?? How is it possible to not have any progress in charactersmoothness in so many years? Seeing the graphics are not as promised it seems the only part of the game that I thought i would give 10, I cant give more than 5 tops with these laggings etc. Play this and then put on AC Odyssey, and its like going in a timemachine from 2000 to 2018. AC is so much more rewarding, active and fun to play as a game because you have to take decisions and are free to do what you like when you like. As a kind of tv-series with cheatHDR I guess RDR 2 can be good, but I bought a game and would like to play, not sit and follow scripted commands. Score 3/10

Movement is so much more smooth in AC, the horse comes to you when you whistle in AC but not as much in RDR, menusystem is very good and easy to keep track of in AC and not very good in RDR. The walkingspeed is good in AC and in RDR its either way too slow or way too fast. It might be similar kind of game, but AC makes these small things so much more enjoyable and its a good balance and story in the game. In RDR you will spend more time on following/walking superslow than you will on anything else, and on AC you have to use skills and brain while its more linear "do what Rockstar says" in RDR. This is ofcourse opinions from player to player, but IMO AC is way more a fun game you actually play while RDR is more a linear follow the script kind of game.

Can I ask how long into this game before you are allowed to play yourself? Or is the whole game like this?

Well, the game is pretty, but first 2 hours is for me close to 0/10. Follow someone 5 endless minutes before cutscene. Then shoot one thing and follow someone for another 5 minutes. Its tedious and just very boring to do in the long run. Everything is so slow and it takes very long time to do about everything you do untill now at least. Movement is not even close to as smooth as it is in Fallout or AC Odyssey and loadingtimes are like in GTA. The first 2 hours I havent actually played a game. I been following strict commands and pressed exactly the buttons im told in a very linear way. So seeing I think this is the most tedious and boring start on a game I played for a long time, I guess others feels the same...
