Can't get back into wagon for caravan delivery mission

It's the other caravan wagon. This happened to me yesterday as I pulled only one wagon in. I got that message and ran around it for five minutes before realizing I was supposed to go back and get the wagon that got left behind. I dragged down the driver's corpse and climbed aboard to finish the mission.
