Ok then. Let me be silly and childish playing a videogame. There are more important things in life than being f***** up every day because the textures aren’t true 4K. They made an noticeable improvement although there is no comment in the patch notes about it. So be it.

Of course they won’t say „patched the ridiculous blurriness that hurt some players eyes while playing the game“. But if you play online you can definitely see that it became a lot clearer. Due to the performance of the ps4 they won’t be able to fulfill miracles but they improved something, it’s my personal opinion 🤷‍♂️ And if they didn’t and perhaps they won’t in the future, there is nothing we can do except buying a xbox or wait for the pc version or just play the game we paid 60€/$60 (or even more) for.

Since the update, the blur definitely got fixed. I really can tell. Sure, the xbox one x version might still be better of course but it became a lot clearer now. Just enjoy the game, it won’t get better on ps4 or ps4 pro. It’s good like it is. Please don’t hate but if you want the maximum out of this game buy a one x because there will always be a difference between the platforms. Sometimes more, sometimes less noticeable. But right now, with my TV settings, there really isn’t much a difference to the one x version really.

In my opinion the graphics and the weather effects are just beautiful in this game. Something that was never there before. While you play the game, the charakter and certain objects in the front or center are sharp. In the back everything gets blurred like an autofocus on a digital camera. When you push the share button you can either see the game like it was meant to be on ps4 or just like how it looks like on the xbox one x. I guess if you make a screenshot with the share button, you get a static true 4K picture. While playing it’s dynamic checkerboarding. Perhaps that’s why it’s blurry. It‘s sad.. A pitty.. But the game is playable in my opinion but you have to get used to it. I don’t know if a patch can fix this because otherwise the ps4 pro version would look like the xbox one x version or am I wrong? Could be that the XBOX version looks even better, I have no clue and it’s not important that much. What I wanted to say is, the game is stunning. But the most annoying thing for me is that if you look trough your binaculars and zoom to max, everything is just so blurry you cannot see anything. Try to zoom on max while looking on trees for example and press the share button. You will see what I mean. Or in cabins there are often pictures on the wall. Try to look at them in detail trough your binacurals.. You can just the silhouettes of what should be there. Then press the share button. Boom. That is what annoys me. To see in particular, to press the share button once in a while is a must.

Die ps5 wird vor der scarlet kommen. Das ist microsoft‘s strategie um endlich den konsolenkrieg zu gewinnen. Denn: Nachdem sony ihre ps5 rausgebracht hat, wird genau das gleiche passieren wie mit der ps4 pro. Die xbox scarlet wird technisch viel besser als die ps5 und das einzige was die ps5 dann noch zu bieten hat sind exclusives. So ein großes Spiel wie RDR2 wird sowieso remastered und dann wird es zeit für eine xbox, leider.. The ps5 will come out before the scarlet. That’s microsofts strategy to finally win the console war. Because after sonys ps5 came out, the same will happen as with the ps4 pro. The xbox scarlet will be technically more powerful than ps5 and the only thing the ps5 can offer is exclusives. A great game like rdr2 will be remastered for sure and at this point it’s time for a xbox, unfortunately..

Had the disc version since the day it came out. Blurry mess. Aber ich denke so soll es auch erstmal bleiben. Microsoft gibt momentan extrem gas was werbung für die xbox one x als beste konsole angeht, siehe fallout 76 etc. Alles best played on xbox. Die sony konsole soll einen drauf bekommen. Nur die exklusiv titel sehen gut aus.

I did. Every single page since the beginning. But TAA, depth of field or motion blur causing the problem doesn’t make sence to me since it’s sharp if you take a screenshot or set the ps4 to 1080p. If the above would cause this blurriness the xbox one x version would have it too, native 4K or not.

Why is the game sharp like a knife if I press the share button? Seems like it shows how the ps4 pro version could look like if R* wouldn’t sabotage it deliberately to push the most powerful console in the universe 🙄

Just updated to ps4 pro and it’s the first game Im playing on it. First upscalling experience. Was thinking about buying an xbox one x before but decided to stay with sony. Now Im afraid that upscalling will always look like this. Buying a new 4K TV and pro would’ve been a bad decision then. Maybe I should’ve bought an xbox.

We put HDR on and 2160p in ps4 settings (was automatic before) and it became blurry. Then he put it to automatic again and made HDR off. Sharper again. Maybe his playstation buts it to 1080p automatically? It’s german btw. Helligkeit - brightness Kontrast - contrast Schärfe - sharpness Farbe - color/colour Digital aufbereiten - digital editing Lokales dimmen - local dimming Hope that helps

Guys.. You won’t believe me. I see rdr2 on a TV of a friend of mine. It’s just sharp as hell. Im soo jealous right now god damn.. He has a Samsung TV from 2018 4K but without HDR and RGB isn’t supported. Mine is an LG . Is it all about the HDR? If I disable HDR on my TV it’s still blurry.. Maybe thats why rockstar don’t know what we’re talking about? Btw he has a ps4 pro too.

Hab ich gemacht. Aber mittlerweile arrangiere ich damit wie verschwommen das aussieht.. Ich denke nicht dass es allzu bald ein update von R* geben wird. Nicht aus Pessimismus, sondern weil es kein „allzu großes Problem darstellt“.

You‘re right. I dont. Got my TV and pro last week but had 1080p and base ps4 before and games looked good.

For those who own a ps4 pro for long yes. Pray, hope and annoy rockstar (if they would say „yes we know about this problem and are working to patch this until next week“ I‘d be happy). But for those who just bought a new sytsem reselling is an option.

Same here. 1080p but HDR on cause its to dark otherwise. This is my first 4K checkerboard game. You say Uncharted 4 had the same issue? I want to play in native 4K then. I don’t want to play ps4 anymore well knowing every game I buy is blurry. So I have to give up on tlou 2 and all the other ps4 exclusives then.

This is honestly no offence to you but this is getting ridiculous.. Why do we have to do this after all.. Rockstar should know about it. Gta 5 looks just fine even on base systems. Crisp as hell

All games I‘ve played so far except of Spiderman.. It would be a pitty for The Last of Us Part 2 tho; and Days Gone and Death Stranding.. Thats why Im struggling to send it back personally. But RDR2 would be a reason. If I could play it without blur, just inferior textures than xbox I would be pleased.
