Frankymole

Hi, I'm coming up with nothing in the tutorial videos on YT etc. My character is covered in animal blood, and swimming in rivers is making no difference. How do I remove the blood? Someone on a reddit or similar thread said "The online equivalent of getting a bath is to enter a store wardrobe, take your hat off then put it back on. It'll completely clean up your character." I haven't been able to do this.
