Thanks Well, I hope they fix it too. Too bad that I have almost finished the game. I learned to ignore the stuttering. It was really hard and cost me a lot of nerves but now I can enjoy the game. I am also like you playing on my PC mostly in 144 Hz, so not stable 30 fps with bad frame pacing was a REAL PAIN for me. Trust me. I even bought Xbox one X because I thought its gonna be butter smooth there. NOPE! It hurts even more when you compare RDR2 performance to Spider-Man for example. SM also runs in 30 fps but the gameplay is butter smooth. I think this all is caused by this frame pacing and I also cannot understand why R* didn't do it properly. Well... we have to wait 5 years when 60 fps is a standard.

Nah I dont think there is something wrong with my console as I checked the game in my cousins home (he also has PS4 PRO and 4k TV) and the performance was identical. Its just how the game runs on consoles and I think there is nothing we can do here. Only R* can fix frame pacing.

I have to say that i've tried this with my ps4 pro (limiting to 1080p) And it did not help at all. There was completely no difference...

I'm most excited that there is a chance R* will patch the game so that it runs fluent on XBOX one X, because at the moment its nowhere near smooth.

Yeah thats what I said them. I tried it both on PS4 PRO and XBOX one X and both have lots and lots of fps drops. However XBOX wins, the game runs much better, in 4k and with highest res textures. However it still is not as smooth as it should be. I really hope they will patch it soon. For all the players of course but more importantly for the online release. At the moment I do not imagine how can anyone play such laggy/badly optimized game online.

Yeah and I contacted R* support, they claim my brand new console is broken and advise me to give it back on warranty hahahah. Cmon...

Hi. Ive got the exact same problem. Firstly i played this game in my ps4 pro but when i saw how it performs I ran to the store and bought a brand new xbox one x. The game runs better and in native 4k of course but it still is not smooth. I have tried everything with my tv and xbox settings. I have slight stuttering almost all the time during day (when theres a lot of shadows and daylight). At night or during a storm the game is 100% smooth. My frames drop even more in valentine. in some buildings my frames drop to 20 fps, heavy stuttering. I am glad that im not alone here, because I also thought that my tv or new console is faulty. I doubt its the cable because in other xbox games that are also 30fps and 4k, the gameplay is 100% smooth (forza horizon 4 for example). I think the only solution is that R* patches the game because my eyes rally hurt me after a while. I have spoken with the support 5 times already and noone seemed to have an answer, so i really think its jus the game itself. I am really mad that so polished game was released this way and noone cared that it runs crappy on a frekin x box one x!!! Btw. I disabled DVR recording in my xbox and i think it helped a bit... you may try it.
