HELP!!!!!!!

Ok so I have rdr2 for ps4 everything’s worked great I started in chapter two pouring the oil I got the wagon with oil stashed it and johns icon was at camp went there it was lit up but he wasn’t there so I checked over and over again he was never there he walks around camp but don’t give the option to talk to me or nothin I did the fishing mission with little boy but won’t let me do nothing further in story mode is there a fix to this before I start the game over or what ?

Have you tried saving the game in a separate file? I had to do this a few times and it seemed to help correct the issue for me when I was prompted to talk to someone in camp and I couldn't.
