So I was going to launch RDR2 for the first time one or two weeks ago, and it all went fine. The thing with the text about the current situation in America showed up and it when smoothly. Then I jump to the scene with the snow storm and it cuts to the horse carriage and the gang. A couple of seconds go by but then after about 3 seconds the sound gets cut off and I can't hear anything. After that it cuts to Arthur's perspective, I can't move and nothing but a couple of trees can be seen, and still no sound. At the bottom of the screen, there is a dialogue (still no sound) so the cutscene should still be rolling but for some reason, it cuts to Arthur way too early and I don't see even a fifth of the cutscene. Then it loads this other thing after Arthur is supposed to say "come on". There I am greeted by two horses and i pile of Npcs and no textures loaded. I jump on my horse because it's the only thing I can do and it starts to load something again. There I'm supposed to follow Dutch and Micah on the horse. But Micah just stands there menacingly and does not do anything with his horse. I see on the map that Dutch is somewhere nearby. And after that, I have not bothered to get any further. Under all this time there was no sound and no textures loaded (sometimes I was even under the ground), my horse could not go in many directions and sometimes would just run into a "wall" even though there was nothing there and if I started to run (with my horse) I could not stop it. I have the latest graphics drivers and it does not work, and it also happened a couple of weeks ago when I had another driver installed. I was hoping somebody would see this and may have an idea of whats going on and mabye help some. I have asked my dad about this and he has no idea on whats wrong and I really want to play this game and I really cant play like this.

You should try uninstalling your mods. That is likely the problem. It sounds like it's in a big conflict with the game and the edits. I assume you're playing on PC? you might try uninstalling the game entirely, and reinstalling it. It really sounds like a coding conflict to me. I play on PS5, and don't bother with any mods. If you continue to have issues, you may have to switch to another platform to play the game, and forgo any mods.

Turn down the graphics settings in the game to see if it improves performance and stability. Try reducing options like texture quality, shadow quality, and anti-aliasing. You can gradually increase the settings to find a balance between performance and image quality.
