Help Needed with Completing "American Venom" Mission

Hi guys! 🤩

I'm currently playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and I'm having trouble with the "American Venom" mission. I've reached the part where you have to chase and confront Micah, but I keep failing to catch up with him. Does anyone have any tips or strategies on how to successfully complete this mission?

Also, I'm curious if there are any specific weapons or items that are particularly useful for this part of the game. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’ll get to weapon recommendation first. I highly recommend a rifle as opposed to a repeater. Rifles are immensely more powerful than repeaters. Equip express ammo as it does the most damage. My go to is the Springfield. But a lot of people prefer the Bolt Action or Carcano. Also look through your pistol’s and find the most powerful of them, then equip two. Off hand and side arm. Again load them with express ammo.

 

Now as for completing American Venom, what part of the chase (specifically) is giving you trouble? There are a lot of different parts to the mission. I don’t know if you have ever played the epilogue before or not, so I’m trying not to reveal any spoilers. If memory serves me, you don’t chase Micah. You run into him at the cabin where things happen. A quick analogy is you’re only going to run into Abigail at Beechers Hope, so don’t look for her in Valentine.
