Races typically aren’t on the top of outlaws’ lists of preferred activities to spend their time with, as by default the reward is relatively low compared to the effort put in – especially if you aren’t a skilled jockey. Beyond becoming astronomically more lucrative through the 1st of July, racing also had some added incentives – every week this month, you’ll have the chance to unlock a new item for free by placing within the top 3 of any race. In order, these are the Plaid Cap through the 10th of June, an Offer for 40% off a Stable Slot through the 17th of June, the Red Salter Shoes through the 24th and finally an Offer for 50% off a Vest until July rolls around.
Not every outlaw is a swift racer, but luckily there are other activities in Red Dead Online getting the bonus treatment this month. A Land of Opportunities, Call to Arms and Featured Series all benefit from doubled rewards, and you can bag a free gift of 50 Split Point Revolver Ammo and 50 Split Point Pistol Ammo if you purchase any weapon modification – many of which are discounted!
Players who simply log into Red Dead Online anytime before the 1st of July will also receive the Oregano Mutton, a Hawkmoth Bola, and 2 Potent Snake Oils for free. Talk about low effort! You can also get a North Clingman Treasure Map by crafting any Trinket, while ranking up 5 times before July 1 will net you a Cardozo Vest.
You can dress up your Red Dead Online character as a shadowy gunslinger for free with this month’s community outfit, designed by user “CallsignUnholyBandit”. Consisting of a Cutter Hat, Leather Duster, Richfield Vest, Everyday Overshirt (Male), Iniesta Shirtwaist (Female), McCrum Pants, Range Gloves and Worn Ropers Boots, this is a perfect way to look menacing on the cheap.
This month’s clothing rotation brings back the Manteca Hat, Porter Jacket, Morning Tail Coat, and Morales Vest to stores throughout the frontier through the 1st of July. Discounts on the other hand feature 30% off on all Role outfits, 40% off on American Paint Horses and half priced dentistry, among others.
