The long-awaited day is here - Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available to play on PC. This is the first time any game from the Red Dead franchise has been released on this platform and comes after fans have been clamoring for a port ever since the 2011 release of Red Dead Redemption.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced for PC a month ago, with pre-orders going live shortly thereafter. Players had a chance to start pre-loading the game days ago, allowing fans to get a head start on downloading the 150 GB game. Access to actually playing the game was unlocked earlier today.
Unfortunately Red Dead Redemption 2's launch was a bit rocky. All of the pre-loaded files had to be decrypted and the pre-load only actually downloaded 109 GB of data, with the rest getting downloaded after the game technically went live, leaving a lot of players with additional waiting time.
Those of us who can play the game get to immerse ourselves in the best looking Red Dead Redemption 2 experience possible, provided we have the hardware to get the most out of the game. Featuring 4K resolution, increased draw distances, a full suite of graphical options, high-resolution textures, improved lighting effects, multi-display support, widescreen support and unlocked framerates, this is the definitive Wild West game.
Beyond visual enhancements, the game features new bonus content not available in the console versions. This new exclusive content includes 3 Bounty Hunter Missions, 2 Gang Hideouts, 2 Treasure Maps, the "To The Ends Of The Earth" mission and several items.
One of the most anticipated features, however, is the all-new Photo Mode! Photo Modes have been popularized in large, scenic AAA games this past couple of years, and we're happy to see Red Dead Redemption 2 get its own dedicated picture capturing feature. A game this stunning deserves it.
Red Dead Online also launched alongside the main game, unlike in the case of the console versions, so you can leap into the multiplayer mode right away and craft your own adventure. All updates and DLC released for Online thus far are available on PC, including Roles.
See you on the frontier!
