    Have you tried donating it your camp for crafting? Works for me, you don't even have to take it off the horse.

    It's characteristic of open-world RPG. You could draw the same comparison to BioWare or Bethesda's games.

    It's a marathon, not a sprint. Not 'fast traveling' everywhere at a moment's notice is part of its charm and reward. Your horse isn't nearby? That's because it isn't, so you have to walk. Enjoy the world, pick the flowers.
