[Will RDR2 beat GTAV?]

Well, I am a HUGE GTA fan so pretty torn here. I think it will be VERY hard to beat GTA V. I mean, the game has sold over 75 million copies, that is freaking crazy. If Rockstar can manage to sell even 50 million copies of RDR2 I think they would be very happy. GTA is a very well known game franchise, Red Dead, not so much. BUT, maybe this is their chance to turn it into such a well-known franchise. We shall see, but I think regardless, the odds are against RDR2 "beating" GTA V.

+1 for the storms here too. Imagine lightning effects when you are looking out over the desert, or creeping around some old town in the Wild West. I imagine/hope that Rockstar could create a pretty amazing atmosphere.

Played the original Red Dead Redemption here too and been eagerly awaiting a sequel (or prequel I guess, depending on what RDR2 is...) for 7 long years.

Numerous GTA games have been delayed by Rockstar and even the original RDR was, so it wouldn't surprise me if RDR2 was. PLUS Rockstar have been dead silent about the game for freakin' 6 months already! Not a good sign!

Racing games and the occasional shooter for me. I am trying to learn DOTA 2 at the moment, struggling and don't think I have the time to learn it properly...

If it means we get some information soon then I am all for it! I really have my doubts about Scorpio though, Microsoft dropped the ball HARD with Xbox One and now it may be too late to save this generation for them. They need some good exclusives and Sony already has that deal with Rockstar Games for RDR2 - source. In fact, given that, this entire thing could be made up. Time will tell, but like I said if it means we get ANY NEW OFFICIAL INFO that would be great

 

PS: 4K TVs are cheap where I live, I think 4K will take off if Scorpio can do it and the developers make the games.

I want the game to be a massive improvement on GTA V. Graphics, storyline etc. The SP story in GTA V was rubbish and GTA Online is basically GTA Loading Screen. So they need to fix all that. Otherwise I can't wait to return to the Wild West... it's been a while!
