Difference between Free Roam vs Land of Opportunities
Tom21 replied to Rick's topic in Red Dead Online
I think you may be having the same issue as me. I click on land of opportunities from the start menu, and it takes me into free roam instead. I saw a poster above say that its supposed to do that, but then its also supposed to put you into a queue while you are in free roam, but I dont see a queue placement happen either. -
Yes I just made a post about this yesterday. I get this alot along with randomly being booted from lobbies before the game starts and also not being able to join the land of opportunities missions from the online start menu. Clicking on it only takes me to free roam.
-
Anyone else? I get stuck at black loading screens even post update.
-
Wow, theres actually one today.
-
Anyone know of any upcoming updates for the game?
-
If you play on ps4 you should add me. Tommyboypwns21

If im level 27 right now, what rifle/repeater should I get? Right now I have nothing but a varmine rifle and the repeater carbine. Im thinking a bolt action would be my best bet?
-
Anyone else notice how different the shooting and targeting is compared to the first game? I dont really see how one could not notice it, its annoying. The game really incentivizes headshots by making you shoot someone like 5 times with a repeater carbine to kill them. Maybe I have to unlock a better rifle/repeater.

In RDO, it seems that I cannot take a pelt/skin off any horse, be it my own or a friends, to then take it off and sell it. Only way I can sell it is by taking the skin directly by carrying it myself. Anyone else notice this?
-
As expected they seemed to have focused entirely on rolling online out. Guess we’ll have to either spam them to hell or just wait longer....
-
Probably doing both at the same time tbh.
-
No one knows and youre definitely not alone in wondering. There’s already been multiple threads about this. Im guessing they wont release a patch until the update comes that includes the rdr online beta. Who knows though.

Again, nowhere have I denied its there, just saying the degree to which its done and how its done is obviously trollish. Example: one critic of the game in a review had the title of the article as “why is rockstar still using their ancient control scheme?” That is a much more honest depiction. Now the trollish way is some other reviewers who outright act like its totally new (as in a mistake rather than a continued tradition) and ruins the whole game. It didnt ruin gta v why would it ruin this game?
-
In the way that trolls are potraying it, yes. Like Ive said in another post, its not new and is nearly identical to gta v’s. Its way overblown is the point.
-
Criticism helps developers deliver better games in the future, but I also think this game has been a huge target of trolls lately and its very obvious in some “criticisms”, like “clunky controls” which is an overblown way of describing controls that were also in gta v.
-
Agreed. That, and no target cycling are my only complaints regarding this area. It most certainly seems though that all of these choices were intentional, so I doubt they do anything to change it.
-
Yes, and at best its just an “issue” that wouldve needed addressing all along, dating back to gta v. I do hope they do something about it, therefore I acknowledge it. However, these people pretending the controls (besides weapon sway) are a new issue and spreading misinformation about it are just wrong and trollish.
-
Lol, as you can see from what Ive posted before, that does not apply to me. I am far from a fanboy. I just quoted the part in my post about “clunky controls” which makes no sense seeing as how it feels nearly identical to recent rockstar games such as gta v.
-
It is no different than gta v, stop spreading misinformation started by trolls.

Red dead 2 stuttering or fps issues on Xbox one X
Tom21 replied to Cyberpunk's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Only have noticed frame drops, no stuttering whatsoever. -
I remember people saying pretty much exactly the same thing when rdr1 came out. They released patches and it wasnt a problem anymore.

Any game is going to have bugs and glitches, even huge AAA ones. This shouldnt be a surprise at all, patches will fix it.
