Where is the train in gameplay?

Heey im almost waiting 30 minutes for the train coming on a random area in normal gameplay but nothing..I tried to kill someone on the rails with lasso.. anybody has the same issue? In rdr1 there was a train icon so I was able to track the Train.. it is depends on the story progress? Im at 43% now in story mode

To test your story progression, go to a station and enter the building with the envelope, where you can talk to the guy behind the counter (the same guy you talk to for paying bounties). He can sell you a train ticket. If it says trains are not available then you need to progress more in the story. If you can buy a train ticket then your problem just sounds like something glitching out.

I have no idea, but I once almost got run over on a bridge because a train came within only a couple of minutes of a previous one. Might depend on the line... I was heading from Rhodes to Saint Denis.
