Help!! Travel award 1000miles on horse

Hey guys 

Been trying to get the rdr2 online award for traveling 1000 miles on horse back is anyone else having trouble getting the distance based awards.  I traveled from one edge of the map to the other (bottom left all the way to the top right) and got hardly any miles. Like less then 20miles this cant be right?

It's just gonna take a long time. The map is not all that big. Yes, there are different states, but they're also quite small. 

Consider this, the fastest horse in the Guinness book went 43.97 mph.  So if you have one of the fastest horses in game, and you can keep up a pace of 40mph with potions and food, it'll take 25 hours of continuous riding to finish it.  Not sure how accurate the horses are in game, but they seem about as fast as real horses.

Best to just keep doing other things and get that one along the way.

But that should only be 25 hours of game time to ride from one side to the other takes days (ingame) and yet is only classed as 20 miles?

I think the mile counter online is broken mile awards (distance based awards) are much easier in solo

Not game time, real time. you're still only travelling the distance in real time. Time in game goes a lot faster, you don't.  It's still a really long distance to travel by horse.

O ok fair enough thanks for your help. .as long as its slow for everyone and its not just a bug where my mile counter is not working. . just seems abit dumb in solo riding from the top right of the map (brandywine drop) to the bottom left (sea of coronado) was roughly 500 miles now I'm getting 20 miles if I'm lucky seems odd surely they dont want to treat the hole map aa if its only 20 miles long i still feel like something is going on going to do the ride now and get the actual miles for the map again online and post up what my counter is giving me for the trip

Ok so started up near brandywine drop just before 10am real time set my marker for sea of coronado i started with 159 miles traveled. I rode only using the trails, i arrived at 10:32am real time and finished with 168 miles traveled (so roughly 9 miles from one edge of the map to the other thats gotta be wrong) using real time it would take 50 hours of non stop riding at a avg to fast speed to get this award. To get the crime award for drag an enemy with a lasso it would take 5 hours of draging enemy's to get the 100miles and once again thats at a fast trot . Now if its 50 hours on horse back to get the 1000miles you could quite easily say to get 1000miles on foot would easily be double that (minimum) as horses easily travel at twice the speed if not more. .on top of that you need 100 miles in a canoe,1000miles by train ,100 miles in a coach,100 miles as a passenger on a coach. . .now awards aside as I'm guessing no one really cares to much about awards to say/class that distance as only 9 miles must be wrong and they need to fix there travel counter
