Get in cover glitch

Several times, on PS4 Pro, I've had difficulty when I'm directed to "get in cover" on the opposite side of a doorway or gate etc from a fellow gang member. I'm sure I'm standing in the right place, right inside the yellow target, however the "get in cover" directive keeps coming up and the game does not proceed. Anyone have any answers? Cher

Save game, restart mission. Sounds like a bug to me.

I'm embarrassed to say that I fixed it: using R1 (the take cover button). DOH!
