If I discard my ultimate edition Horse (Black chestnut thoroughbred) can I still buy it back in the stable?

I would like to clear space in my online stable but I don't want to permanently lose my black chestnut thoroughbred, I would at least like to buy it back, I haven't discarded it yet I would just like to know if it's gone forever. Thank You
