No audio through headset (PC)

I'm experiencing a strange issue.  I can get all game sounds to play through  my regular speakers, but when I switch to my headset the game's audio refuses to play through them.  It will play the opening gunshot sound during the logo, and that's it.  I have not had issues with this headset playing any other game sounds or internet sounds, etc.  Does anyone know what might be causing this issue?

I was going to say it may just be a setting on your computer you have to change for the Rockstar launcher but since you do hear sound at the beginning, I am not sure what it can be. Try disabling your speakers so there is more of a priority for your headset.

I had a similar issue day 1. I found out my audio drivers were actually out of date and were causing a conflict with a few launchers (Rockstar, Epic Games, and Origin) on my computer.
